  • To join the chorus. Beautiul vid. Kudos. Thanks for educating us. Whilst I knew a little bit about it, I did not know about the 1:4 ratio for instance. Please keep this vids coming. I could not fault.

  • @enaruvie thanks, sister

  • Love you too, kiddo! Mwuah!

  • Great video. VERY informative. I came into this video pretty ignorant of Albinism- other than that it was genetic. Didn't know both parents had to be carriers, didn't know the differences between CC and AF/Minority Albinos( is this a dorogatory term??). I thank you for informing those of us that are just plain ignorant, and doing it with dignity. Thanks and Kudos!

-- came here via LHCF-- the henna page of course. lol

  • Thanks for watching, and I'm glad you learned a lil something! Check back soon, as I will be publishing a sequel to this vid featuring my AA friends with albinism.

As for the term "albino", some view is derogatory, some don't. Mostly we prefer to be referred to as a person with albinism. HTH!

  • Amazing, Thank you for putting this together, I am sure this will be one of those resources that a new parent will find and gain great reassurance from.

  • Thank you, Tim! I am in the process now of gathering photos of some of my friends, who are also african americans with albinism, for a "sequel" to this video. I hope to have it completed by the beginning of July. The response has been overwhelming, and I have photos coming in daily. I can't wait to get started, and I think all the participants are very excited, too!

  • Really interesting video. Thank you for educating me.

  • Thanks so much for watching! Please share the knowledge....Peace!

  • I liked this video because you really put out that info about albinism, also you show that your just like any other a black person . That was good . You are a different shade of black, your amongst the sexy ones not the ugly ones !hahahhahahahahahahha.

  • Thank you, I'm glad you both enjoyed and were enlightened by my vid! ;-D

  • No problem sexy

  • Hi, this is Hairapy from THE hair site LOL

I just wanted to tell you that this is a wonderful and informative video! Thank you for sharing, you and your family are beautiful :)

  • Hi!!!! Thanks you so much and I appreciate you for watching!!! C-ya on THE board, LOL!!!

  • To be honest, in some of your pics you don't look albino, just really light skinned like me.. Some blacks have made fun of me & called me albino, even though I'm not.. I have dark hair, dark (usually) hazel eyes but I just have pale skin.

Anyways, good video. You have a beautiful family.

Oh yeah, I have a question regarding albinism. Would it be okay with you if I were to ask it?

  • Sure, go ahead

  • Does the sun hurt your guys' eyes? The few albino people I know are always squinting when they're outside.. So it just lead me to wonder if the lack of pigment in the eyes causes the sun to damage them or something. I don't know.. I'm probably wrong, just thought I'd ask.

  • Our eyes can be sensitive to sunlight, and most of us usually wear sunglasses when outdoors, along with sunscreen and protective clothing. Depends on the type of albinism.

  • Oh. There are different types of albinism? What different types are there?

And sorry if I'm asking too many questions.. I just like to know stuff. You don't have to answer me if you don't want to.

  • Kool! Albino people represent!!!

  • Very nice video. You have a beautiful family.

  • Thank you!!

  • Lovely video. Very informative.

  • Glad you enjoyed it!

  • that was nice. I enjoyed looking at your pics. :)

  • Thanks for watching ;-D
