Sometimes I just can't get over how well written this comedy was. In fact it was so much more that just a simple 2 dimensional comedy. It was a slice of life which reached into to psyche and helped us remember what it means to be a human being amongst all the cacophony and chaos of the daily grind.

Why the hell would Daphne be so ANGRY that Niles did exactly what she did and tried to do what he viewed as helping Roz? And it's not even a big deal, he just brought a guy over to see if Roz and him hit it off. That's not even something to feel strong emotion about. I can understand if she simply disagreed and thought the best thing for Roz wasn't another setup (though SHE was wrong), but why would that make her furious? So furious she hits Niles and refuses to return his "I love you"?

What did he do that would be considered "trifling" with Daphne? The only explanation I can come up with is she's angry Niles is screwing up her plan to mess up THEIR evening and if Niles finds someone to take Roz out, then Niles and Daphne can have their evening together…and Daphne doesn't want that to happen. What the fuck is going on?!

The second guy is not a Doctor as Niles said..( He is the meat slicer from the Deli shop), as Daphne recognised him. So Daphne is angry because Niles is deceivng Ross who is in a fragile mood and therefore not to be "trifled" with. Apparently Ross wouldn't have cared much as when Daphne told her he is not a Doctor.. Ross said, Is that supposed to make me feel better ?

But that is the difference between Daphne and Ross. It is easy to miss the jokes..

I think the hot surgeon blew Roz off because (1) she didn't wait for him to come over to her and say hi...thus making her come off too eager, and (2) he didn't think she was dressed properly. Thats why he said"I wouldn't want you to get cold." The way Roz replied"Don't you worry about that", made her sound like a total whore. Dr Betcher's exchange with Daphne was witty, direct and funny. I think he wanted someone more like Daphne...someone intellectually challenging and NOT slutty.

If Roz was a whore, she'd sleep with the assholes that she has turned down in disgust, and would have tried to seduce Frasier, friendship be damned. Roz may be too promiscuous for her own good, but she does it because that's part of her personality. Roz was the female equivalent of a womanizer, not a whore.
