Thank you for posting this. I'd never seen the bits before Jane's abortion, only afterwards. God, I felt just awful for her when she was crying in her office after talking to the doctor. It was rare to see the real vulnerability in Jane, so moments like the ones shown in these clips are golden. Bravo to Helen Mirren, such a brilliant actress.

poor sick little girl. abortion is a heavy issue no doubt about it, but for many women it is really the right thing to do! lots of pple dont understand this because they cant think critically & because they cant c the shades of gray. theirs is a black and white world. --a simplified and unintelligent view. it is like how a child likes only sweets...yet an adult can taste things like sushi and appreciate subtleties. thats like life. some pple see the subtle depths of reason behind abortion

Oh, this is so sad. I mean the whole abortion thing and what happens to poor Penny (although it's true that having an abortion was a right thing to do for Jane). It's weird that I start to cry almost everytime Helen starts to cry, no matter what role she's playing. Or maybe it's not so weird after all, for she's such a fantastic actress. Thank you for the video.

I have no other beef with you besides this. I really REALLY enjoy your videos. I just have an issue with the title of this. It just seems everyone is so eagar to spoil the plots of Prime Suspect and some things are sacred.

Oh thank you for posting this! I've only seen the PBS showing of PS7 in the US and at the very end when Jane asks Penny "You never meant to kill Sally, did you?" Penny replies "I meant to, Sally was asking for it." What is it she says here? I can't quite make it out. Is it "Sally was taking the piss?" Is that right, and if it is, what does it mean?
