great routine, you know your stuff, i would just work on free hands but it looks like everyone else has already told you that. haha. but Im just wondering, How old are you?
Great run through! My only critique is on your spins, either put your hands all the way down, on your hips, or one on ur waist and one on ur lower back, other that that ur great! =)
@Joey9048 I just can't get good spins, it's been the hardest part. And has been suggested, my free hand looks really bad. And my smile comes and goes when I'm working hard. AAAAAA!!!
very good job indeed! try not to keep your eyes on the baton when you do your layouts, which will get easier not to do with practice. Also, great back neck rolls! Kudos on that! Make sure you spot the baton while spinning (turning) and not looking out to the side, it will make the catching SO much easier. Other than that, very good job! Best of luck to you! =)
I was going to say about your free arm too. I know it's really difficult to remember everything at once but it really makes a difference. When I was a twirler we were always being screamed at about free arms but now as a judge I see what everyone was going on about! Also think on the first 2 spin you should keep your arms down as you do for the end 2 spin which looked a lot more confident. Other than that very good! Good luck!
I looked it up in the TM book- I have between 30 secs and 2 mins, so I should be good to go with this. Now I just have to get it really good. This one here is a particularly successful run-through, warts and all.
I think it was great! I would like to suggest doing something more with the free hand. Maybe behind the back or fisted on hip. It distracted me by just hanging at your side. Other than that and the above mentioned break, it looked great! Good luck!
thanks- one of my challenges is to keep more than one thing in mind at once. If I focus on the baton skill, my free arm gets all wonky, and vv. Probably common with beginners...
I love your palm-ups. I just started learing those and I'm trying to get them down

TwirlGuy 2 years ago
Yep, TM it is; I have between 1:30 and 2:00. At this current speed I'm within the time.
