Its not just the card, the card is being held back by the CPU, you need to overclock that to atleast 3.2, you will see an improvement then, the 260 is still a decent card.

better than you find in the average pc.

Mate, the ability for a card to run something on ultra means that you have to be able to get 'playable' fps. For some people this is 30, but for others, including myself, it's 60 (as a general rule).

@simpa975 first get a 500w psu or higher,for GPU, I recommend a ATI 5800 1GB or higher GPU or a Nvidia GT460 1GB or higher, and get as much ram as you can, like 6gb or higher hope this helps

Okey, so for you guys who don´t understand. This graphics card can´t handle full graphics for bf3. Bf3 on full requires directx 11 but the gtx 260 can only handle directx10. so this is not full graphics. The same thing to playstation 3 and xbox 360. They can only handle DirectX10 so full graphics for PC is ALOT Higher then on console. since it´s a big differance on DirectX10 and DirectX11.

@WomboBraker i think you misunderstood what direct x is. It's a software that allows programmers to program for different hardware components on a single basis. E.g. you have an nvidia graphics card and an intel cpu. Somebody with an amd card and different cpu would have a totally different set of commands for the same stuff. direct x makes it a common interface. Consoles don't use direct x. the hardware is identical in every xbox or every ps 3
