Hahaha! That dog is fantastic, there's something to be said for tenacity - hehee. Took me a while to realise the cat was under your blinds too. Hehe.
your husky sounds like my puppy husky. Yipp Yipp Yipp. That's why the cat owns the husky. My two older huskies were howling at the moon at three months old. I use R. Lee Ermie as a training aid for how dogs should sound off like they've got a pair. Unfortunately with Jazz, that's not getting it done my new nickname for her is Prvt. Pyle.
It's owner laziness and pure myth that make up the declaw stigma. The only true differences are that a declawed cat must stay inside because of the dangers of wild animals, strays, and idiot humans, AND that their paws appear smaller from the lack of the first toe joint. Our cats are indoors, our dogs trained well, and we aren't showing our cats so they don't have to look top form anyway.
That said, the video reminds me of my clawed cat and puppy's play sessions, except my cat enjoys them ;P
One of my cats was declawed and she was perfectly fine as well. The only problem we had with her was the territorial spraying that existed well before she was declawed due to her being feral, and the general grouchiness which was again well established before the surgery. Otherwise she went in her box, jumped, ran, and bossed 3 GSDs around before cancer finally claimed her. The other argument I hear is that declawed cats bite more often. My first cat broke skin once. The clawed one does daily.
That poor dog. All he wants his some attention and exercise! Stop taking photos of him and get out and RUN, not walk, with him. Huskies are bred for being part of a TEAM pulling sleighs in sub-zero snow storms; not cooped up in an apartment or home!!! What is the matter with you people? He bugs the cat because he wants a playmate. I would almost call this cruelty.....
My car is declawed and it perfectly fine. Someone obviously doesn't know what they are talking about here because my cat doesn't poop where it's not suppose to just cause it doesn't have claws. They know what a liter box is for and she is completely indoors and very happy so there is nothing wring with declawing indoor cats
after all this time, means you got a seriously lazier than most, cat. and are you taking that dog out and running it most days? can't believe how much people blow that off
haha chill bro its sorta a good thing cause the only realy cat you shouldnt declaw is prolly simese cats cause they use they're claws for EVERYTHING and any other cat... well they're perfectly fine witout them they still god a badass bite if they get you dude so claws aint nothing compared to a good old feline bite!!!
THE CATS NAILS ARE CLIPPED!?!?!!??!?!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN!? LIKE DECLAWED!?!??!?! THATS SOOO BAD!! POOR KITTYYY! WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO TAKE YOUR FINGERS OFF!?!?!? if you declaw your cat then you should declaw your dog too
"Clipped" means "trimmed". We trim the cat's nails with a pair of clippers, when the nails grow back we trim them again, and so on. This means that we cut the sharp top edge of the nail, so the top of the nail is more flat and not pointed. The cat is NOT declawed, because she goes outside a lot and she needs her nails.
just be careful, when you trim nails the cat generally doesn't want it to happen, and if you're not careful and you cut the quick (as in "cut to the quick") it can be very painful for your cat.
@lotuslena08... you need 2 let the cats nails grow and not clip them... a few scratches will teach the dog not fuck about... cats claws are essential tools and although you havent declawed him (which is barbaric)... you should not cut them.... a cat can easily be trained not scratch wall papers and furniture... if the dog is never ostricised for its bad behaviour, either by you, or your cats... it is higly likely to continue or even get worse
@lotuslena08 Cats need their claws.. don't trim them. Its the only weapon it can use 2 protect itself if the situation gets worse with the dog. It cant even climb a tree(or even a sofa) without sharp claws.
@lotuslena08 dont trim even, if you cant stand scratch marks then dont get a cat. trimming a cats nails is like trimming a dogs teeth, will you do that?
@manchora You are an idiot. Trimming your cat's nails is no worse than trimming your own nails. I don't suppose you'd be willing to treat a cat whose nails have grown into its pads? I have, and it's not pretty. Believe me, they can defend themselves just fine with clipped nails.
@foxylady1984 All i am saying is let the cat to the trimming herself/himself. Get a scratch pole where your cat can trim itself. That is why cats scratch all the time, its to keep their claws is the best condition.
@manchora My cats have four scratching posts and they use them all quite frequently. However, I still trim their nails monthly. When you can hear your cat's nails clicking on the tile floor when they're just walking, they've grown too long. Like I said, I've treated a cat with all its front nails grown into its pads due to owner neglect, and I'll drop dead before I let my babies experience the pain that cat went through.
@Balto2WolfQuest Ahaahah.. No it is not good to declaw a cat since their nails are like fingers. If a cat doesnt have nails then itt wouldnt jump, run or defend itself. DECLAWING IS WRONG!
@TheCutekitteh u kidding right? or ur just retard? clipping the cat's nails is always recommended. doesn't matter if you have other pets or not. clipping means cutting the tip of the nails.. you do that sometimes don't you? to urself i mean.. or u tried removing your nails and it didn't turn out that well.. u see where i'm going here?
@lotuslena08 your husky's beautifull but still a baby... my 5 years old husky still does that to my cat.. but he gets bored fast. you'll see what i mean
@TheCutekitteh listen m8.. everyone is talking abt cutting the top of the nails of so they wouldn't scratch that much (aka clipping).. ur the only one talking abt declawing..
@ADULTabuse Declawing is NOT good!! It can kill a cat!! A cat's nail is like their fingers!! Cats NEED their nails since they use them to jump, run and defend themselves. If you want a cat, then you should be aware that it would probably claw all the furniture. PLUS! If you declaw a cat then they have to poo ON the furniture which is worst than clawing it! DECLAWING IS BAD!
They are clipped. Not de-clawed. Those are two VERY different things. Dogs AND humans also get their nails trimmed. It's the same thing. (Birds sometimes need it too.)
Either way, there is NO reason to de-claw a dog (dog's do not even HAVE claws. They have nails.)
With claws clipped the cats still have full use of their claws, they just are not as sharp.
