  • american clowns

  • @donbigotone34 Glad we could entertain your dumbass!

  • The Art of Nunchaku = The Art of Playing Drums on someone's head

  • when he was hitting the red bag he hed a good beat going.it would be cool to see the same thing done on a set of drums.DRUMCHUCKS

  • Very cool! I love this moveset; it's a perfect blend of efficiency and finesse.

Thank you for uploading this for us all to see, Karatevideoguy. And moreover, thank you for citing the source(s).

  • "Belts mean nothing.

Simple, as long as you're mature enough to know that you could wear a rainbow belt for all I care"...as said by the 10th degree black sash founder of my art.

I think he knows a bit more than most.

  • @h0ckeyd What in the World are you talking about??

  • yeah its fun. not for the guy gettin hit though.

  • wow nice im 1st dan or (shodan) in ninjutsu

and i never learned this what style is this

  • I would think twice about giving this guy a hug now

  • good vid

  • Comment removed

  • geezz.. well, i've been using the 'dinosaur chux'... i have to admit, you have a point there.. but, in my country, to get a nunchuck is very hard.. even the dinosaur chux that i'm using, they dont sell them any more.. where can i get a pro chux?

  • 2:28 im adding this to my form.hahahah

  • Chuck NORRIS!!! :P

  • GREAT VIDEO. even tho these are speed chucks... still cool

  • Where do you get your information from. You are like the govt. run mews media here in the States. THink something, even thyough you ARE WRONG, and run your mouth with it. Speed Chucks as you call them are a rip off of ProChux. Do some fact checking first, or not, that is one of the great things about being Americans, even if we are wrong we have the right to open our mouths and prove it.

  • are you retarted?? your the one who said that they were knock offs... I said that thi video was cool.. even tho they speed chucks... ME I just prefer regular old fashion nunchaku -

  • NO, I said they are ProChux and the Speed Chucks as you call them are the knockoffs. ProChux came first then Speed Chucks.

  • Duhhhh!!!!

  • Well, you answered the question, you are a tard.

  • you need to calm down lay of the roids man

  • Speed chuxs are a nock off of PRo Chux

  • he using speedchuck

  • That poor guy in the suit. :(

  • those chucks are thin

  • What style would give a 12 year old kid a 2nd degree blackbelt? A McDojo that is who. No 12 year old is mature enough for a 1st degree blackbelt much less a 2nd degree unless of course if their parents checks clear, then yea maybe they get a 2nd degree.

  • hey i get to teach classes too!

  • wrong, maybe that's your limitation!!!, But it's not reality! Chinese kids can start at 5 or 6 years old and reach the level or what Americans regard as black belt/1st dan / 2nd dan at 12 "very easily". you need to educate your self and stop thinking America is the centre of the world.

  • @karatevideoguy Well, I must respectfully half-agree, half-disagree. It's definitely improbable, but not impossible, for someone as young as twelve to be disciplined enough to hold a pretty high belt rank. At least, in my opinion.

  • @karatevideoguy plus the fact that he's bragging about it, also shows you a sign of immaturity....

  • of course you are

  • yeah i am...as a matter of fact,

i have to teach a class tomorrow at 6:30

  • Of course!

  • wait...of course as in...

    yes or

    no?

  • ..........wow. How was your class?

  • yeah it was great, just went back home just now...i had a very interesting class...they were pretty good, knew what they were doing, and they all have a sense of humor

  • jesus......and can you upload a video of yourself, doing all this?

  • lolz.

  • and how about uploading a video and showing us?

  • no gum, food, candy, sugared drinks, cameras, and electronics in the studio

  • i dont want to get in trouble by grand master

  • LOL I knew it

  • Forget mase I'd let to learn this!

  • Great vid! This video will certainly improve my technique options with 2 nunchucks. The striking explained in the end is also very good. Now I'm gonna go train. Thanks.

  • Imagine fighting that guy with nunchucks, fuck that shit. Run like the wind!

  • best nunchuck skills!!!

  • what dan black belt is he?

  • 7th degree blackbelt

  • Its ashame more action films dont use Lee Barden as a fight choriographer coz that 4 strike exchange looked like it would leand itself to action films very well.

  • Thanks for the compliment. If you know any casting agent, Have Chux, Will Travel!!!

    Lee

  • Haha, its true though. I dont get why all action movies rely on guns so much, theres no self expression in moving ur finger a half inch to pull a trigger! At least nunchakus look artistic, and to non chux users, exotic, when used in the style of your demos. Raymond Chow understood! p.s. im planning to purchase a pair of your pro-chux, I was very much a traditionalist until I watched you "Dino chux" video. If pro-chux are as good as you say I may have a large nunchaku collection goin on ebay!lol.

  • he's like the bob ross of chucks!

  • I Love How That Guy Just Stands There Getting Beaten... I Would Hate To Be A Demonstration Target Even With The Padding

  • i dunno why their nunchuk's chain is so short someone can tell me the reason?

  • i think it helps spin faster and easier to the wrist spin stuff, i think, makes it less likely to grab the chain,

but im gonna but those soon,

  • I seen a video on myspace video called new nun chux, have to mute song-dirty words pimp song, but the man is on time, moves i never seen, but not as good as you ,take it easy

  • I like the demos are those Roy Chux?He sent me a pair i,m learning, you showed me some cool moves, thanks

  • No, they are ProChux but they are of the same design.

  • I am only starting out with nunchukus, but in my mind the Pro Chucks seem better. With these, I imagine it wold be easier to move them quickly (ie. spinning to wind up for a strike), and as far as my understanding of momentum goes, speed=power. Again, I could be wrong, but this makes sense to me.

  • horrorfan13666, you are correct, and they are a lot more controlable. ProChux are a great tool for beginners and experts alike. I hope you enjoy your experience.

    Lee

  • He made me a pair of them pro chucks back in 1977,i lost them moving so much,so he.s sending me some glow and pro i think in a week or 2 and a CD i can go by ,got a pair of hickorys now, have to get use to them, but the,re fun to use,ill keep practicing, seen GM Roy and Marys video its unbelivable stuff they do,i,ll watch yours too so i can learn some new stuff to try,i just do what comes natrual now, told Roy the,re majic chux.lol ,Take Care, and Thanks Deryle

  • Getdamage please check out Lee's videos on combat. Just type in Lee Barden in the search.

  • Would you say a sword isn't "real" because of the length of the blade or the shape of the hand guard? There have always been many sizes and shapes of nunchaku. They are all "real".

  • haha I just caught that..the title of the video says ADVANCED Nunchaku techniques... It's not advanced and those aren't nunchakus man.

  • You wouldn't show me your video with "REAL Nunchaku" would you. I am always up for learning something new, if you know where some "Real nunchaku" are, show me.

  • A real nunchaku should have either a rope or a chain that is long enough to go around your wrist( this one is too short, this guy should of gave his version a different name), because of the shorten string, his weapon is limited in moves he could do with it. His techniques resemble more like kali or eskrima. His version of the nunchuk is used more like the short staff. That is what i think, but i'm not an expert.

  • Your are right, you are not an expert!

  • I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I'm pretty good. I don't believe in experts because everyone can improve. Once you think you are an expert, that is when you stop learning.I'm just a guy who has a passion for martial arts...

  • In actual combat, the shortened rope is a disadvantage. Longer rope = more power, and would give a longer reach towards the opponent. The shortened rope makes it less mobile = less power. I can't lie, the shortened rope has an advantage because it makes the chucks easier to control and spin, but it also makes some "passing behind the back" technique more difficult to perform if not immpossible...

  • The nunchuck needs a longer rope because it was also meant to be used as a choking device and also the longer rope makes it easier to disarmed weapons and that is why the rope needs to be longer, uvmaster. *bow*

  • ;) .

  • You must be dizzy. I will talk with you no more. You've shown your lack of knowledge and lack of willingness to look at all sides. Good luck with your quest!

  • Honestly, I do like that weapon he is using. He called it a "Pro chuck" in his other video( but still not a nunchuck). It seems to be a very effective weapon. A cross between eskrima and nunchucks. I can see how it could be use in combat. Maybe one day I will learn to use the "Pro Chucks" when I have time. :)

  • Im dizzy! Watching all those crazy spinning and striking twchniques

  • im so dizzy i feel sick

  • Flaming chucks? Glo-chucks?!?

I bet the ninja turtles wept when they saw this one.

  • No they stole it and used it in their movie.

  • nice bro, thanks =)

  • Thank you

    Lee

  • Punching Bags dont fight back. Hahaha all those spinning hits he does.... You can uppercut chuck that and get him right in the chin. With the chain ones. And even if he tries to block you can do chuck extend punch.

  • Masoukishin. Yea and if a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass when he jumped off the lily pad too.

  • Are you talking about the odd pair or any normal pair of chux for the 45 you were describing?

  • The flames & sparklers almost lost me in the beginning, but it's nice to see someone teaching the striking with nunchaku, the recoil mentioned previously is a definate problem to overcome with this weapon. Interestingly, the earlier Chinese versions had a handle that was about twice the length of the striking stick (not same size), to avoid getting your hands smashed with the recoil.

  • With the prochux you do not have the recoil when used correctly

  • I play with some chux similar to the ones you describe. THey are incredibly fun and semi painless.

  • I'm gonna get these DVD when I get the money for them.

  • cool .

  • how long have u me chuking

  • I have been chucking since 1973. Started right after Enter the Dragon was released.

    Lee

  • is it hard to get that good iv only been chucking for few months

  • if you hit something at a 45 degree angle or whatever, it'll bounce back at that same angle. So watch out for that!

  • Not with the prochux. There is no bounce back when you use them properly.

  • I can ship anywhere and you can send a money order or cashiers check. The address is on the website.

  • you can got the website listed in the description.

  • FAT! Never seen nunchaks applied like this. I dig it. But heck, every time I try to hit my punching bag, my chucks bounce off and hit me. ...not that I already hit myself enough without a bag...

  • lmao i agree wit JT this vid lks gd and all but its really all jst show as martial arts does involve a gr8 deal of footwork and i agree wit the name comment aswell lmao gd 1 Jon

  • Dumbasses, it is a tutorial.

  • if thats aimed a me thn u can include footwork in a tutorial aswell rather thn jst all baton twirling

  • You obviously have not seen the dvd's. When not teaching a TUTORIAL show me a chucker that does more footwork than what I do. Have you seen any of the other vids here? DVD 1 has a whole section on footwork alone. As I type I wonder, do you not see footwork going on here?

  • You should change your name to batontwirlingvideoguy

  • I am not guy on the video I am the guy shooting it. Lee is my business partner and my Sensei.

  • why don't you just call him tutor? teacher? the sensei stuff is weird.

  • agreed. it's kinda whack. sensei is japanese, if you're not gonna speak japanese all the way why not just go "teacher" eh?

  • In answer to th3aznboi Karate is Japanese, if your not Japanese why not just call it punching and kicking??

  • That guy does karate. ^ : : sounds normal yea? That guy is my sensei. ^ : : Doesn't it sound weird??????? xD and we dont call it kicking and punching, bcuz we'd have call a lot of other fighting styles kicking and punching. bad comparison uv :P
  • Maybe it's weird where you are from, but not here.

  • Touché.

  • what im trying to say is its good but not really martial arts advance nunchaku involves foot work, fakes ect.

this was one of the comments of my last// vid tronk9 (1 month ago)"Now thats what i'm talking about, none of that girly shit. you use nunchucks like your ready to kick some ass with them. very impressive."

  • very good but a bit to like girly batton twirling

  • good but not that advanced

  • Not that advanced?! Did you see the same video that I posted? Lee is the most advanced nunchaku expert on the planet, he has forgotten more than most will ever learn in thier entire life. Watch it again and by the way who would you say is more advanced than Lee?

  • depends wat your trying to be advance in fighting or baton twirling Advance nunchaku involves at least some foot work

  • I just saw your video, your'e not bad not very advanced though. Maybe you should have Lee give you a few lessons.

  • i would love that really but im not a 10 year old girl that needs to learn how to spin a stick

  • Damn! That was a sick ass combo he did at the end!

  • Many don't realize the combat effectiveness of those chaku. They are not pine but OAK. They look small only compared to conventional chaku, they are nothing like the stuff called "demo chucks" today. They'll crack a coconut with a single shot!

  • This is pretty cool, but those are not nuchaku. I would say they are really neat broken escrima sticks. In fact, all these moves are from escrima.

  • Which is something you cannot do with big chain dinasaur chucks.

  • This was not lee posting this, videoguy used my computer.

    Lee

  • which of the series is this from?

  • This is from Volume 3. There is lots more advanced and extreme tricks on this DVD and there is also lots of combat applications too.

  • Thanks for the info!

  • holy moley
