  • Backstreet Boys owe everything to Rockapella. They are the original badass boy group. If you don't count the Four Seasons, and those barber quartets.

  • about elliott's voice, the more i listen to these guys, the more i feel that his voice stands out pretty good. you can really pick it out from the harmony.

the current acapella, however, except scott's falsetto, they all sound kinda the same.

    =.,=

  • oh my god please shut up about the backstreet boys. these guys are talented. the backstreet boys are talented. done. these arguments are unnecessary

  • good song good beat yesterday i listened to this song inn music class ;`)

  • @diamond12908 i think i might know you......

  • Unlike some people commenting here, I am capable of liking the Backstreet Boys, Rockapella, and have manners.

  • well now i kown why there are called backstreet boys they will allways live in the back round of rockapella :D

  • Yo these guys could steal New Edition's girlfriends...Backstreet Boys? These are the

Front Street Boys! You better start listening with your ears instead of your butthole.

  • It certainly can be more difficult as far as breath control because it takes a lot of air and diaphragm control. Don't know that they get paid more, though. XD I think that Jeff's putting a lot of effort into it in this case, but a lot of it also depends on technique; poor technique when beatboxing requires more air and gives less time to breathe. I speak on this from experience, having done several performances as a beatboxer, individually and in a group.

  • Do vocal percussionists get paid more for having the hardest job? Looks like a lot of work :0

  • i agree with slick willy i pat them on the back!! they don't need music to sing!!

  • woah! talk about catchy.

  • I'd like to hear the guy in the brown shirt sing solo, I wonder what he sounds like.

  • @misteravocado5 He sounds just like a guy in a brown shirt sounds!

  • @misteravocado5 His name is Elliot, and if you look up "Don't Do It" or "Kingdom of Shy", you'd see him.

  • Comparing Backstreet Boys to Rockapella is like comparing shit to super delux chocolate cake. Hey, I liked BB as a teen, and I give them credit for being one of the biggest boybands ever, but Rockapella is WAY superior. I think of BB more as show entertainers, whereas Rockapella are true singers.

  • Oh, Kevin is sooo cute!

And damn, he can sing! I love his voice...

    Well, love Rockapella!!!

  • You can take Kevin. Save me Barry.

  • I envy Kevin Wright's wife, whoever she may be. he's a cutie and can sing! Yea, don't think I wasn't scopin out the finger!

  • they make every song beautiful

  • somebody actually tried comparing the Backstreet boys to these guys...ughh, theres no comparison, these guys actually have talent

  • @slickwilly787 I didn't know what the Backstreet Boys were till I saw it here..Coming from a classical music fan(addict), these guys have more potential with their voices and have talent..But, what is so wrong with the others? I heard a couple of songs, although I cut off from that music, and I don't find them that bad.

  • @slickwilly787 yea these are awesomee

  • I love the Rockapellas there so hot and the lead singer HOT!Did I menchun HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT....!

  • while i assume you mean mr. blond over there, he isnt really the lead singer. for this song he is but the joys of rockapella is that depending on the song, a different person is the lead

  • Barry Carl and Jeff Thacher rock. Period. I only wish the current lineup was of the same people; I would love to have heard the two of them complementing each other in a live show. Oh, well...*sigh*..that's why we have YouTube.

  • I like Kevin too. I love his voice. But don't like the current group...just the older ones like this one. Saw this one live.

  • The "new" group is good. George is less instrumental than Barry, but a much wider range. Gets up into tenor quite nicely.

JB came in after Elliot left and makes a third tenor, but a great counterpoint to Scott.

Btw, Kevin retires from the group this month, so another evolution is coming. I don't think anyone replaces anyone in Rockapella, the group evolves. Much more choreography and interaction.

    Edward in Lincoln

  • i can't believe kevin is retiring! i am so sad to see the old group leave! i still haven't gotten over barry leaving! best of luck to these guys. i have been a huge fan for about 15 years and i think they are so awesome

  • they're awesome

  • dude i really hope so! i love these guys!!!!

  • ugh...comparing backstreet boys to rockapella is disgusting

  • @Taterzz

    LOL! Tell me about it.

  • these guys are amazing!!!!

  • i am a tenor or a high tenor, and i'm a dude. i can also be a baritone. i can't be a bass, that's way toooooooo low for me. and for a vocal precussionist, with a little practice, i could be one

  • probably XD

  • ...and anyone should care what you can do when u probably suck number one and two, your commenting on a vocal groups video not on how they rocked it but on how you sing... just dumb

  • Elliot, being professional, would be used to Tenors getting the leads, considering most of the songs Rockapella do are High, and he is a bass. Do the math. Another thing is not only is he a bass, he's 2nd bass. Which means if it's a BASS song... he still doesn't get the solo. But he does a very good job as support. The group would be missing something without him.

  • He wasn't actually the 2nd Bass, he was the Baritone/2nd Tenor. There is a difference as Barry Carl was the Bass, and the Bass is the Foundation of the rhythm along with the Drums & Percussion, whereas the Baritone is a lower harmony that goes lies below the Tenor and High Tenor, as it were.

  • i would have been unhappy being elliot, the two tenors kept getting the solos. i imagine that's why he would have left

  • I saw them when I was like nine...the guy with the low voice said he liked my hair and that just about made my life! Haha :)

They are amazing. Love love love.

  • love them

  • favorite song! love them

  • That sounded good.

  • is there fliptop twister? thats what im looking for, its the best!!

  • Yes, there is a song called Fliptop Twister and it was on the Primer album (1995) I had the cd and it is now so scratched up it won't play :( and they are not selling it any longer on their site.

  • if you still want this song, use youtube grabber (google it) and grab the video and save it on your computer. then take the video and change it into an audio file and you'll have your favorite song back

  • @tlocashio I HAVE PRIMER. IT IS FOR SALE ON EBAY RIGHT NOW FOR $120.00.

  • I'm going to their concert in two days!!!!

  • where was it?

  • These guys are the real deal, I have their dvd, its awesome!!

  • It's an original song.

  • You are probably thinking of That's The Way I Like It by The Backstreet Boys. This song is a Rockapella/Scott Leonard Original.... I'm sure you can find the BSB song here on YouTube.

  • KC and the Sunshine Band - from 1975.

  • Or that one too :o) I don't know why KC&TSB slipped my mind. Probably because I still love BSB!! & that song by them (of the same name) haha!!

  • They are my favorites! I love them!

  • that was wicked....pretty tight...

  • way to good :O

  • I Love Rockapella
