I wonder if we can see as only a conscious soul floating above our bodies, how come we need eyes to see consciously when we are in our bodies?

If anyone has answer, I'd love to hear it. Btw, this question also applies to hearing, smelling, touching and talking.

Scientist still can't tell us what the mind is or how consciousness works, yet there are many scientists who are ready to jump in and tell us all that an NDE isn't real and that it's a brain death reaction or some shit that seems just made up on the spot in an attempt to put in place a Quasi-explanation while they work on a real one. Scientist are just as irrational in their blind faith in science as they accuse people of being when they accept a spiritual answer

@psydwaindah creating hypothesis' is not the same as accepting them, people should just accept a spiritual answer without any evidence, in the same way the scientists don't accept a scientific answer without evidence. There is no faith here.

Hameroff's sounds as a great explanation, the problem with it being scientific though, is poor understanding of the mechanisms involved. What he proposes sounds more like an unfalsifiable educated guess than a testable hypothesis.

Second problem is how highly specialized science is today. To design a study which could test this explanation one would have to be both a great biologist and even greater physicist, & to have an equally diverse & comparatively talented team not to mention funding

Thanks for this really interesting video. Makes you think. If, at the Quantum level, the whole Universe is analogous to an ocean, with shimmering patterns of information; then is conciousness just a particularly large 'wave' (so to speak), and does every particle in the universe have a tiny degree of conciousness? Does our conciousness slowly fade after death, or do we join a vast collective conciousness....and could that be what we discern as 'God'? :o

We were clearly created by God with purpose and meaning. Materialists and atheists whose world view doesn't allow them to accept this have to use convoluted theoretical, scientifically sounding structures to explain this away.

@Mayburyj Not it is not clear we were created by a diety. To most, it is a personal feeling of faith, rather than an irrefutable fact.

Atheists do not use science to explain away opposing views, they use science to try to understand what we think is true. Science is the way people try to understand the world. Science is inconclusive for either side, and it ultimately comes to a matter of faith.

Interesting professor Hammeroff says quantum entanglement is where consciousness or at least the mind is held but that does not begin to answer the question of how this quantum entanglement see an objective world or hears the objective world. I think it would be far easer for subjective energy to evolve consciousness than for a objective physical body since the physical body is so susceptible to all kinds of fatal conditions.
