But in all seriousness, I love most of the seasons (apart from season 7) even though I don't like all the characters in them, which is why I will continue to watch them. I assume you too had a character or two you didn't care for? This video was actually a much more lighthearted than it could have been considering what Riley did to Buffy (and himself) in season 5 - so I think he got off easy.

@polly1esther yeah but you need to realize that riley was only doing that to get her attention even if it was the wrong way cuz buffy never let her walls down after angel and riley truely did love her and she loved him to but by the time she realized it it was too late and riley couldnt hear her over the helicopter noise

@thevampire550 It has nothing to really do with the Riley. The actor the used to play him was unlikable. He had no personality and was annoying. If you were to ask people, 'If James Marsters played Riley instead would you like him' the answer would be yes. Spike was supposed to die in season two, but people loved him so much he lived. I Marsters played Riley then Riley might have stayed on the show, People must like the actor. Marc Blucas was a terrible Riley.

This video is completely awesome in every which way. I can't stress how much I love it:) I am pro Buffy and Spike always. But in an alternate universe I imagined Giles and Buffy together. So I look up Giles and Buffy and come across this, like I said love it!

@serenityxoxo It's always good to have an open mind! Even though B/G is my favorite ship, I think I can ship in BtVS/AtS universe pretty much everyone with everyone... except for Buffy and Riley, it seems. Blergh.

will try to remember what i posted a few minutes ago... uh, despite my severe dislike of riley, i love coming back to watch this video b/c Giles definitely tries to keep buffy uplifted. she's always down on herself, and no matter his bluster or training, he still treats her way better than any of the other guys she knows... you know, until season six and seven >.> great great job dear xo

@krisbotha As a fellow member of the Riley Haters Anonymous -- no, wait, we're actually quite open about it -- this vid has slowly grown on me. I've always loved the song and it DOES show Giles in a good light, so it's not all bad despite the excessive amount of Riley in it. I love how Giles treats her, he always puts her needs first (season 7 of OOCness, not even gonna go there) but also pushes her to be the best she can be. An ideal man, I would say.

I was pretty neutral about Riley until I found myself making a video where he had such a big part. All my old annoyances about him came rushing back, and I got grumpier and grumpier by the minute.
