All the freight trains through the illawarra line (Everleigh/Sutherland/Wollongong) go through the platform lines (although there is only 2 lines in total) usually coaling or bitchumen from the southcoast. Also for Melbourne, you will sometimes get the odd freight along the Pakenham line all the way through to the now closed platform 14 at Southern Cross and onto Dynon, on the passenger platforms at all the stops between Pakenham (maybe even Traralgon?) to Flinders. quite common really.
The short hoppers on the stone train are ex BHP and the hoppers on the coalie at Clyde are NHFF/NHFH/NHJF type coal hoppers, most probably NHJF as these are used on western coal field trains to Baal Bone & Clarence.
Wrong!! Try to sound all clever and you are going to trip. The shorter stone train hoppers are not ex-BHP but ex-QR Railways VO coal hoppers, now RHGF gravel hoppers plus RHIF 29298, ex NGMA with roof cut off. But it was labelled as a wheat train so you were closer!
reminds me of work...why dont u all come out to cooks and unload your beloved stone train lmfao
