It's abolishing criminal activity by police and the justice system, judges etc. (mainly - as they decide what the evidence points to) - the death penalty has it's place - but when there is even a shadow of a doubt, is when it cannot be awarded.  **** I hope you sued Arizona for HUGE bucks!!!!!!!!!!! don't get mad, get even! I'm very happy for u Ray, as u very well know, a big part of the system participants, starting with police and DA's up to judges and jurors, just cannot be trusted to judge a fly. your case is a very ugly one, but unfortunately is not single. I've seen stories such as yours over and over again. When there's no obvious suspects, police and DA's just pick whoever is at hand, not giving a rat's ass for who's guilty and just go at you misdirecting investigations, manipulating and concealing evidence

Not only should the Death Penalty be abolished, but look: DNA evidence cleared this man!!

As of this writing, DNA from Sexual Assault cases is put on a shelf and forgotten. If, as in this above case, the Sexual Assault DNA was entered into the National DNA Criminal Database, this case would have saved taxpayers money, as well as the 10 years of hell for this poor man.

We need to test rape DNA and many women would be saved the pain, agony and death of sexual assault.
