Jim Lee is FREAKING AMAZING! God, he makes me want to draw. but then i fail... and then i see his drawings... and i try again. its a never ending cycle.

Very awesome. My one criticism is that Jim Lee's work is almost too perfect. I prefer Todd McFarlane's work, which is a bit cruder, but, in my view, is more imaginative and energetic.

I feel that Jim Lee probably has a fantastic memory and that a lot of his drawing is like copying a photograph from memory.

yeah but think about it. this is his job. he probably spends 8 hours a day on this. And has for the last 15 years or so.

he has a gift. that goes without saying, but he has also put in the time. So don't kick yourself to hard. just let it inspire you to keep going.

i liked his vids, cos one in any comic, u draw all the lines and then u simply fill in the black shading and the add the crosshatching and iterate more on the line work then u do the textures then u finish up, this dude shows it well in his drawings so they are a god form of tutorial to!

His work is incredible, and to see him whip that out in the time that he did...(REAL TIME) not sped up, is insane...totally INSANE!

I don't know how you can say that. There are so many artists who deserve immense respect-Jack Kirby, Frank Miller, Robert Crumb, to name but a few.
