I thought House of 1,000 Corpses was better, but Devils Rejects definitely has a better ending. Even though, from a technical standpoint, both the endings are kind off dumb: Denise escapes, then in the last 20 seconds is recaptured and killed/the Firefly family survives Wydell, then just commit suicide-by-cop anyway. But for this movie I can look past it because it's done so awesomely.

I dont know about you guys, but my heart was racing when Wydell was beating their asses at the house, I didn't know what was going to happen next. You felt like even though he was giving them their just desserts, that the tables could turn around and his whole entire scheme would be for nothing. Satisfying ending though. if anyone feels sorry for these guys, they need to watch house of 1000 corpses again :D

@d2eux i def see where you're coming from, I think Rob Zombie wanted to make this movie pull audiences in all directions emotionally. I know after seeing Ho1KC, I SO wanted to see Otis and Baby get theirs. But this scene is just so powerful... you see how ruthless Wydell is with them and think "is he any better?" Also, seeing Captain Spaulding try to get Wydell's attention onto him and off of Baby shows his fatherly instinct is stil in there.... either way, awesome movies!!!
