@dlizzle44 did you actually watch the combine or did you get the stats and think that they matter? 4.24s 40 times mean nothing except that the guy is fast. Mays will not be a safety in the NFL for very long if at all. He is not smarter, played in a horrible conference and can't change direction for sh!t. Watch the cover drills. In case you didn't know, Safeties have to cover as well as tackle. Berry can cover a slot and tackle. I'd like to see Mays cover a Wes Welker, lol.

They're going to blitz him, he's going to cover tight ends, he's going to play center field, he's going to play half the field, he's going to play three-deep and come in the box. @JChief4040 The Chiefs were "reportedly" targeting 3 other players besides Arenas in Round 2. My guess is one of those was Mays(especially since Pioli came out and said we need to upgrade team speed) Imagine Mays and Berry starting together in the Backfield Insane!!

his parents said in an interview they aren't in financial problems. But he also said if his parents find a job that he would return for his senior season. His parents said they aren't expecting him to pay for their living and I'm hoping and praying they find a job so he can stay... He's obviously one of the top safeties in college, but Mays is better. I've watched both now on numerous video footage, and Mays is just a force of nature. He takes out 250 pound or heavier tight ends like they're 200 pound running backs running in sand.

One could argue that Taylor Mays MIGHT be better in man to man coverage, but only an idiot would say that Mays is a better football player or playmaker.
Mays (3 years): 180 tackles, 0 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 4 interceptions, 40 interception return yards, 0 touchdowns
Berry (2 years): 158 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 12 interceptions, 487 interception return yards, 3 touchdowns
BTW, Eric Berry only needs 14 more int ret yds to hold the all-time NCAA record for that stat.
