Hi alexgabryel,

I don't train for challenge matches or competitions, or to be a `fighter'. Cage fights and boxing rings are for "fighters". The karate I practice is if someone (anyone) attacks me.

No disrespect to those guys, but I think it is commonsense that the UFC `cage fighters', pro-boxers etc would be formidable without any training.

That is a far cry from training to protect oneself or family. So I will never pretend to be fighter nor say that what I practice is for that. OSU!.

Hi Andre

I know your oppinion about karate vs ''cage fighting''. Still, I would love to see a match between a man with your clean, accurate and swift technique vs an athlete from ''cage's''.

I look up to you as one of the modern masters of karate-do, as one of the karateka's that have taken this martial art a step forward and still keeping it's true form.

Great video Sensei and exciting to watch. How about instructional DVD's that people can buy online? It would be great to be able to follow a complete training drill, or see how you develop a theme throughout a session or course.I hope you are all ok after yet another earthquake.

Amazing seminar Andre Sensei. I have pages of notes from your drills and demonstrations. Kashu kata, Asai Shihans self-defence and kumite techniques were brilliant. So much important stuff to work on and so inspired to do so. Thank you. Oss.

As a participant at this seminar I can honestly say it was a fantastic two days of great training. Andre sensei's openness with passing on Karate knowledge, and his technical ability and superb control meant that all attendees walked away with a huge level up (and lots to work on). If you are serious about traditional Shotokan karate and have the opportunity to attend one of Andre sensei's seminars then I highly recommend it!
