  • I think this is probably the funniest All in the Family episode ever...Archie's extreme's of being ultra angry and ultra mellow crack me up all the time in this one. I've never seen the entire episode, I guess TV edited parts to make room for commercials. Thanks for posting the ENTIRE episode.

  • Archie's racism is blatant and obvious, but people like Mike don't realize that condescension and pity are just as bad.

  • a dingbats eye veiw hhaahaha

  • I'm not a boy, I'm a man! ..... I wonder how many saw that hate is ugly seeing this. It is a work of art to me.

  • You know somethin'? You...irritate...me!

  • There's very little difference between Archie and Rush Limbaugh. Well .... maybe Archie is somewhat more intelligent than Rush, but I almost can't tell them apart.

  • Powerful in an understated everyday way

  • Comment removed

  • Nice subtle in-joke at 3:50 where the guy waves the penknife around and Archie says "In ancient Rome they killed Sid Caesar with a bunch of them."

Carroll O'Connor was in the 1963 movie Cleopatra, where his character Casca is the first of the assassins to stab Julius Caesar.

  • One of the best episodes of All in the Family ever made.

  • ill murder and make obama talk to you (archie bunker)

  • "Ya appled all over my shirt!" "Ya ain't supposed to touch a white person's clothes with a white person in 'em!"

  • I see the humor in this! I was just trying to say, that the writters never take into consideration the unacountable amout of minoritys who laid there and still lay there lives on the line for people like archie bunker to continue to live in this fictious world of just aryan's.. but this was a funny piece!

  • this one is so friekin funny

  • dont be bringing the "spicks into this" lol, what a douche! I really loved the way archie thought as an AMERICAN ! he really was an Amercian! true, true, but I hated the fact that American Whites Never won any Major wars with out minoritys or people of color! even tilll this day White americans dont really have the numbers to defend themselves in Major wars! if all latinos and blacks and asians in the u.s military said fuck you! the poor white carkazoid pink man would lose!

  • @MARCUS13ization You fail at understanding comedy.

  • lol archie is such an idiot

  • Ron Glass was also a great guest star on Sanford & Son as Lamont's friend and reformed thief... & on Good Times as a blind con artist. Great actor!

  • @ShadowBirdEric Lamont's friend Rollo on Sanford & Son was played by Nathaniel Taylor, not Ron Glass. I do remember him as the blind con artist in Good Times, though.

  • @phil83ish Yes, Rollo was Lamont's friend but not the one i was thinking of. Go look up Ron Glass on imdb & you'll see that Ron Glass "Guest Starred" on an Episode of Sanford & Son. On that episode he played an ex-con who was looking for work but Grady didn't trust him. It was one of the episodes where Grady was filling in for Fred.. I guess you didn't watch that one, it was a good episode though you should check it out.

  • Ron Glass in his pre-Det. Harris days w/o a mustache.

  • Michael was a blathering, delusional idiot to call the black man an 'Uncle Tom,' especially with how he put Archie in his place about calling him 'boy...'

  • point of this both libs n conservitives will lie to fit there own political agenda

  • You aint suppose to touch a white person's clothes with a white person in 'em!

  • "Your as bad as me!" Lol that is awesome.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. It's one of my FAVE AITF episodes! I also love the one where Gloria brings home a wig- & Mike likes her better with it! BTW, IMO all 4 actors are superb in their ROLES!!!!!!

  • coolPerryMason no one wants to know what you do in your spare time, stfu you idiot. thanks.

  • such a great episodes.

i love episodes that use this concept of how everyone remembers something different

  • @ 1:10 does archie say nigger?

  • He says "HEEYY you nut!" --- In another episode Edith tells Michael that Archie stopped using the "n" word years ago, so no.

  • @earp1673 thanx 4 the info... but i wouldn't put too much stock into what edith says. in one episode she said she loves the smell of a good cigar, only to say she didn't like the smell of them when archie & mike were having there little bet. lol

  • @earp1673 in the "Lionel and Jenny's Engagement Party" episode, the Jeffersons meet Jenny's interracial parents for the first time, George says, "Look at that, in two minutes he's going to call her a n****," and Archie says to Edith, "Listen to him, I ain't even used that word in three years."

  • Sounds like hes chewing gum more than apple. :)

  • Oh, havin' yourself a little snack there, uh? Yeaaahhhh, I'm having myself a little snack, and um, you don't MIND if I have myself a little snack there, do you Bunker? (Switchblade to throat)... Nahhh, eat, eat eat.... priceless. Then, "just a little apple on my shoit, which is always nice..." They don't make 'em like this anymore folks.

  • don't bring in the spec's

  • don't bring the spics in this here..

Spic is an ethnic slur used in English speaking countries for a person of Hispanic descent. It is known to be very offensive.

  • okey and ur point is?

  • my point is the quote.. not 'specs' (glasses) but spics, and why...

  • bc200 nut job.

  • "Want me ta spell it out fer ya: L-E-E-V leave!

  • haha

  • Great. My family was just like 'em.

  • @ 7:43, doesn't it sound like Archie said "you piss me off"?

  • "In Ancient Rome, they killed Sid Caesar with a bunch of them!" LOL.

  • "I don't talk rational because I make sense!" LOL!

  • Meathead's version Jack is an Uncle Tom. Archie's version Jack is a nigger.

Both Archie and Meathead exaggerate their points of view. Edith's version Jack is a balance between the two extremes. One sympathizes with him and sees the right and left as "a plague on both houses".

  • That's Ron Glass pre-Barney Miller.

  • well off and on On when i open it and off when i close it lol

  • hey that's shephard book!!!! lols!
