That really nice. I built an L-ported box to JL specs accurate to the millimeter and it looks totally different...That box is not built to the specs that comes with the sub....unless that is the older 12w6v2.......I have the 12w6v2-D4

I would like to know what Hifonics amp you are using. I would like to go 3 maybe 4 12w6's and I don't think Jl Audio has ONE mono block amp to run that much. The 12w6 can handle about 600 rms, right? Get back to me when you cab, thanks

u should of got a real sub to be pushed that amp plus ur port is to small n u need to play real music n not test notes just a lttle secret loaned my homie my 1600 for his two WL7 n now they no longer can move the amp melted that shit

aye i just bought a 12 inch jl audio w7 i only got one cause i didnt want a huge box in my car cause i got a 98 corrolla.. was this a good buy?

It can be because they dont need big boxes if you just got one but they take alot to power

I was going to get a w7 but on the thoughts of it's 50lb weight thought better to get a w6 as it's only 19lbs, plus most of the features in the w7 is in the w6 anyways, also consider this do you really need all that heavy bass i bet ya remove it for a w8 as it might be too overpowering. Think of the weight thats what i did.. So for me it's one w6 12'' d4 for me.. please reply and let me know how your finding the extra weight ans is it pounding out the base lines.. Rock on..

Not saying that you can't use it for lame test tones .... just saying that it's made for real world music. Thats all. I own 3 of them .... they sound awesome. I just choose to play real music and enjoy what the W6v2 is really about. QUALITY!! :-) Wasn't trying to insult anyone.
