Dad will always love our mum Linda and we know everything about what he knew as true love. He was happy with Jane most of the time and they are still friends but they were too young and when he met mum he wrote a song called "I Will"

from Patti Boyds Bio...Paul McCartney wrote several love songs for Linda (strangely, none for Heather). Among them are I Will, The Lovely Linda and My Love. But the best, undoubtedly, is Maybe I'm Amazed, written in 1969 as the Beatles were breaking up and Linda was proving his anchor. Even George Harrison - who knew a thing or two about love songs - admitted it was one of the greatest songs McCartney wrote.

Paul chose his perfect partner in Linda even thouth I loved watching Paul and Jane.They were too immature, Cynthia said in oneof her books or interviews that Paul and Jane argued over and over about a window being opened or closed. Yes, after she caught him cheating with another woman in their own home. So it was over but Paul met Linda who he never cheated on, never divorced and had a deep loving marriage with. He says he wakes every morning even now with some sadness that Linda has gone

Sounds like you are referring to me. I just don't believe that the first love is the last to forget. That heading puts Paul in place where he never stopped loving Jane and yet he had 30 year marriage to his loving Linda. I will say that if Paul needs someone now I would rather it be Jane than Nancy but Jane is happily married

Paul can't really love again since Linda. Did you know he tols an interviewer recently that wakes up sad very morning since losing Linda. Their pictures etc showed how close he always kept her, especially in public. He doesn't do that with Nancy after 2 years of dating.

Apparently Jane refuses to discuss her time with Paul.I guess even though it was over 40 years ago,she is still pissed off at him for cheating on her left right and center.She apparently caught him in bed with a groupie once.I love Paul but I have to say that running around isnt cool.I do think he was better with Linda.He probably agreees with me since he was faithfull to her and they were together till she died.

I really agree with you BobReidy but for reasons I can't explain I am getting all the thumbs down. His infidelity was a sign they were not meant to be together and Jane is lucky that she ditched him. Paul named one of the 2 tribute concerts he did for Linda after she died "Here There and Everywhere". Why would he do that if it was a sentimental song for Jane? Why not call it "My Love"? I do respect your opinion. I said I was jane and Paul fan too but it is useless saying he should have married Jane. All I am saying is that he married the woman of his dreams. I respect your opinion and liked jane but the title is "First Love is the last to Forget" and that is so wrong. Linda is the last love he will remember and will go to his grave loving her more than any other woman. Yes, he will love gain as he did before her but nothing like the love they had together will ever be surpassed. He still dedicates My Love to Linda at his concerts. How hard would that be for him to sing that song when he misses her so much.

the bottom line was that jane was an independent woman who wanted a career and paul had to have a woman by his side at all times...it is widely known that paul was desperate for a mother figure, just like john was, in fact that was the basis for their early bond and linda was more more willing than jane to dedicate her life to paul and serve his needs...
I agree to a point. I read an interview where Jane said she would not let her career stop her from marrying Paul and have a family. I will find it and show you. Linda was an earth mother who showed Paul what it meant to have a family and a normal life,well as normal as someone like Paul could have. The first official girlfriend of Paul (as Beatles altho' maybe there were more) was Dorothy Rhone (fondly known as DOT) then IRISH CALDWELL who inspired Paul with I saw Her Standing There, Iris was 17 and real dancer. Jane Asher came after Iris. I don't know we should ask Paul to validate but surely, Jane was not Paul's first. Their relationship lasted for almost 5 years and that span or relationship is a record for a person like Paul who was extremely cute & handsome (has sum too) and famous.

MssPepper.. just one thing It was not always smooth sailing for Linda and Paul. When the Beatles broke up Paul became very depressed, drank a lot and often wouldn't get out of bed. Linda had a hard time but pulled him through it. If you want to read about their life on line go into google and then click on images at the top. Type in Biography of Linda McCartney by Danny Fields.
part 2..You will see a photo of Linda dressed in black with a dog and the writing is in red. Click on that photo and there are 18 chapters you can read from how Linda and Paul met, their life up until she died. It is great reading.
part 3..I just typed in biography linda mccartney by danny fields in google under images and it's the first picture you will see. It took me a whole weekend to read but it was so great to learn about Linda etc from one of her closest friends who she actually lost contact with for quite awhile once she met Paul. Danny lived in USA He is very honest in his story I heard Linda and Paul interviewed once and she said they always worked at their marriage to keep it as wonderful and as long as it was
I hope you don't mind me telling you all of this but I know exactly how you feel. I am a lot older than you and have a great husband and daughter but when I was really young I wanted to be Linda. She had Paul, a great life in a band and I love singing etc and lived as normal a life as possible. She never cared for money. She said she preferred the simple things.
part5..I was reading an interview with her once and the person from the magazine said she was so friendly. While she talked to the person, Linda was unravelling some washing she just got out of the washing machine and at the end she went off in a little mini minor car to pick James up from School. She really kept Paul grounded and strong. That's what we girls do! Take care

I don't know if Jane feels the same now as she did all of those 40 years ago. A lot of time has gone by. In the end Paul was the lucky one as was Linda for finding each other and being together every day for 30 years. Not many couples ever find that kind of love but even today Paul misses his Linda. He has just made a beautiful tribute to her on the macca report, macca news and the family have shown the best of her wonderful photographic work, a lot of what she did befgore meeting Paul.

from Patti Boyds Bio...Paul McCartney wrote several love songs for Linda (strangely, none for Heather). Among them are I Will, The Lovely Linda and My Love. But the best, undoubtedly, is Maybe I'm Amazed, written in 1969 as the Beatles were breaking up and Linda was proving his anchor. Even George Harrison - who knew a thing or two about love songs - admitted it was one of the greatest songs McCartney wrote.

Paul chose his perfect partner in Linda even thouth I loved watching Paul and Jane.They were too immature, Cynthia said in oneof her books or interviews that Paul and Jane argued over and over about a window being opened or closed. One would open it the other would close it. This went on for ages.That's youth, people who are not and were never ready for marriage. Marianne Faithful said they were always at each other for some stupid thing.

Yes, after she caught him cheating with another woman in their own home. So it was over but Paul met Linda who he never cheated on, never divorced and had a deep loving marriage with. He says he wakes every morning even now with some sadness that Linda has gone

Sounds like you are referring to me. I just don't believe that the first love is the last to forget. That heading puts Paul in place where he never stopped loving Jane and yet he had 30 year marriage to his loving Linda. I will say that if Paul needs someone now I would rather it be Jane than Nancy but Jane is happily married

Paul can't really love again since Linda. Did you know he tols an interviewer recently that wakes up sad very morning since losing Linda. Their pictures etc showed how close he always kept her, especially in public. He doesn't do that with Nancy after 2 years of dating.

Apparently Jane refuses to discuss her time with Paul.I guess even though it was over 40 years ago,she is still pissed off at him for cheating on her left right and center.She apparently caught him in bed with a groupie once.I love Paul but I have to say that running around isnt cool.I do think he was better with Linda.He probably agreees with me since he was faithfull to her and they were together till she died.

I really agree with you BobReidy but for reasons I can't explain I am getting all the thumbs down. His infidelity was a sign they were not meant to be together and Jane is lucky that she ditched him. I respect your opinion and liked jane but the title is "First Love is the last to Forget" and that is so wrong. Linda is the last love he will remember and will go to his grave loving her more than any other woman. Yes, he will love gain as he did before her but nothing like the love they had together will ever be surpassed. He still dedicates My Love to Linda at his concerts. How hard would that be for him to sing that song when he misses her so much.

the bottom line was that jane was an independent woman who wanted a career and paul had to have a woman by his side at all times...it is widely known that paul was desperate for a mother figure, just like john was, in fact that was the basis for their early bond and linda was more more willing than jane to dedicate her life to paul and serve his needs...

I agree to a point. I read an interview where Jane said she would not let her career stop her from marrying Paul and have a family. I will find it and show you. Linda was an earth mother who showed Paul what it meant to have a family and a normal life,well as normal as someone like Paul could have. It is true that he cannot be alone as he now intends to marry Nancy Shevell so the macca report says. I will try and find that interview. cheers

The first official girlfriend of Paul (as Beatles altho' maybe there were more) was Dorothy Rhone (fondly known as DOT) then IRISH CALDWELL who inspired Paul with I saw Her Standing There, Iris was 17 and real dancer. Jane Asher came after Iris. I don't know we should ask Paul to validate but surely, Jane was not Paul's first. Their relationship lasted for almost 5 years and that span or relationship is a record for a person like Paul who was extremely cute & handsome (has sum too) and famous.

MssPepper.. just one thing It was not always smooth sailing for Linda and Paul. When the Beatles broke up Paul became very depressed, drank a lot and often wouldn't get out of bed. Linda had a hard time but pulled him through it. If you want to read about their life on line go into google and then click on images at the top. Type in Biography of Linda McCartney by Danny Fields.

part 3..I just typed in biography linda mccartney by danny fields in google under images and it's the first picture you will see. It took me a whole weekend to read but it was so great to learn about Linda etc from one of her closest friends who she actually lost contact with for quite awhile once she met Paul. Danny lived in USA He is very honest in his story I heard Linda and Paul interviewed once and she said they always worked at their marriage to keep it as wonderful and as long as it was

I hope you don't mind me telling you all of this but I know exactly how you feel. I am a lot older than you and have a great husband and daughter but when I was really young I wanted to be Linda. She had Paul, a great life in a band and I love singing etc and lived as normal a life as possible. She never cared for money. She said she preferred the simple things.

part5..I was reading an interview with her once and the person from the magazine said she was so friendly. While she talked to the person, Linda was unravelling some washing she just got out of the washing machine and at the end she went off in a little mini minor car to pick James up from School. She really kept Paul grounded and strong. That's what we girls do! Take care

I don't know if Jane feels the same now as she did all of those 40 years ago. A lot of time has gone by. In the end Paul was the lucky one as was Linda for finding each other and being together every day for 30 years. Not many couples ever find that kind of love but even today Paul misses his Linda. He has just made a beautiful tribute to her on the macca report, macca news and the family have shown the best of her wonderful photographic work, a lot of what she did befgore meeting Paul.

part 2..She was the first woman to have her work on the cover of Rolling Stone and it had nothing to do with the McCartney name. She was an Eastman then. Actually her family name is Epstein but they changed it to Eastman.
She was avery talented woman with so many wonderful virtues. I really admire her and miss that she is no longer here

Thanks squyres. It is so obvious isn't it. To have loved each other like they did and Paul still does must have been wonderful. People just don't get it or don't want to. Linda was so beautiful in every way and Paul saw that. No-one can ever deny the truth because then they would be calling Paul a liar. Funny how people just can't accept their beautiful relationship. little LuvelyBeatle13...why don't you start looking at tributes to Linda starting with the one that simply says 'linda McCartney'.
In all her tributes Paul just can't help but hug her all the time. He just can't get enough of his BEAUTIFUL Linda! you are so jealous and you needn't be. Why? Because Linda made Paul the happiest he has ever and will ever be in his life. I dare you to watch these clips and then say Paul didn't love her for 30 years and still does.

Part 2.... By the way, the tribute concert for Linda put together by Chrisie Hine and Carla Lane with Paul was called "Here, There and Everywhere". You can google it but that song had more meaning for Linda in the end than For his Beatle chic Jane. Wonder why they named Linda's concert that. Probably because Paul wanted Linda here, there and everywhere. Paul gave Linda all of his love and all of his love songs he ever wrote when he met her.

Then there are people like sandycochran who insult Linda and say he should have married Jane. He made a choice and we should be celebrating his choice. The gorfoeous Linda!

part 2.... Maybe if you had other pictures of Paul with Linda I could believe you had no intention of putting Linda out of the most important aprt of Paul's life but it is clear your objective is that you wish he had married Jane. He didn't and the McCartneys were part of an amazing love story where he only spent those nights in jail in Japan away from Linda. I resprect your feelings but this is not the way of the past.

part 3 The title says it all. The first love is the last to forget. Well, I don't see where he talks about Jane and dedicates any of his songs to her being an inspiration to him. He still cannot forget Linda so the title perhaps should read "Linda, he still can't forget his first true love"

angievivien..... I am not angry at all and I do see where you are coming from. I like Jane too but I love that Linda turned out to be Paul's loving partner in all that they did. Are there real Soulmates? I think there are but maybe only the lucky few really find them and I believe Paul and Linda were. He still talks and thinks about her every day and his home in London is a shrine to her. I don't think he will love like that again but thanks so much for your video. I do like it.

angievivien..... Just one more point. Human nature is funny in that we like to see good looking people together, especially celebrities. I remember when Paul and Jane were together how pretty she was and how gorgeous Paul was. I used to want to be Jane Asher. Then suddenly Paul is in love with a woman who was not typically beautiful but indeed classically beautiful in a different way. This I believe is why people hated Linda at first except for me and a few others.

Part 2.... They thought Paul and Jane represented the ideal fairytale Prince and Princess. But Paul saw in Linda his lover, best friend and soul mate who he could spend the rest of his life with and would have if she hadn't tragically died so young. To be together for 30 years with 4 children proves this. That was the fairytale romance that was strong and long lived.
