@29ryan49 not really junk yard engine and swap if you already have the parts are about 1000 if your doing the work if your not and dont have the parts then about 3500-4000, now, if your talking about a swap with and engine that wont bolt directly on..ie 13b into a miata. then your talking big bucks like 8k to 20k. larger number for the v8 swaps

@zimbawe2552 a 13b will make more power, and for alot cheaper. I know the Flyin' Miata $6000 turbo kit will bring the 1.6 up to about where a near stock N/A 13b will do. the problem is that getting the 13b in the miata isn't easy or cheap, this job cost about $12000, though this job did have beautiful custom piping and alot of work done to the motor. Basicly if you have the money then a 13b is a great idea in a miata
