Try the Nord Electro 2. It has the best Rhodes emulation.

The feel of the instrument when you play it is just as important as the sound produced from the instrument. The nord action feels absolutely nothing like the fender rhodes action so when you play a nord you always know that it isn't the real thing and the different action can effect the style of playing as well.

The Rhodes is, in my opinion, so good because the feel and sound together make it so easy to get into the feel what you are playing.

C b10 (C in the left hand, E-Bb-Eb in the right), then the same chromatically for Eb, D and Db;

second thing: A-D-G-B, F#-B-E-G#

whats that plugged into - i.e the amp/preamp - very tight warm sound - are there valves involved???

Also I'm a little confused about the MK 1 thing, is this just a MK 1 with a mark 2 shell??

It's plugged into a silverface Fender Twin Reverb. The piano is a MK2 with custom tolex job, no MK1 parts at all.
