  • ottima interpreetazione

  • Did Devia ever sing the last cadenza that is often omitted at the end of this aria?

  • Yes a few times. I am sure she sang it in New York in 1989, and also in Rome, when she sang Lucia in the original key.

  • @sevoflurane Can we find somewhere her original key version?

  • @MrLupo23 The recording of the Rome performance is widely available on the internet, I am sure.

  • superb breath control

  • Nice performance, as far as I can hear. The audio quality is not that high, but still, one can enjoy a perfekt performance.

  • For my money she is probably the most musically and dramatically intelligent singer since Callas.

  • @pjdonagh and I addo, one of the most technically prepared (old) singers of the last 20 years :)

  • @pjdonagh

in terms of Sopranos, I'd say you're completely correct. No one today can do it like this woman.

  • And then people wonder why she is to be adored...

What a great musician and singer this woman is!

  • This artist consistently delivers committed performances in all her roles; her amazing technique and considerable dramatic talent are always at the service of the composer. Brava!

  • Brilliant as always! Bravo, Devia!
