  • Nice! Wish i can get some Steel to make mine :) I'm making 1 out of wood for my Lawn Tractor :) at then moment :)

  • How much did all the metal and welding cost bcuz I want to make one for my 300ex

  • @shortyjk95 honestly i have no idea the total cost. we got the stainless for free from my friends dad from his machine shop. and we welded it up our selves. another great idea is to get a lawn tractor plow and rig that up to fit. you can snatch one off craigslist for like 100 bucks this time of year

  • thats awsome looks professional

  • @MynameisJackMehoff thanks man! she still works beautiful like 3 years later

  • actually it works great even in over a foot of snow if i have a passenger for traction. yes it works best on pavement but on gravel or dirt surfaces i just hold the blade up an inch, using the winch, and it works fine.

  • Not bad for a light weight plow. Looks like it works fine for the fresh snow and "clean" areas.

  • nice

  • nice work

  • its a 2500 lb winch and why would yu ruin a quad doing this

  • umm bar bent a little? lol nice job i gotta go finish the one im making for my mojave. I have everything made but i have to figure out a manual lift mechanism because it doesn't have a battery

  • how much did u pay for the wich is it klike wat lb is it for

  • @the1chevyman i forget what i paid for it but i will sell the winch with everything for 90 bucks. thats way below what i payed i know that

  • how much ur wich and wered u get it

  • this is pretty smart i have to try it some time

  • you see the kit for this? how much?

  • check out my vid , type in " homemade plow using free or inexpensive items "

  • Oh yeah...I was also going to ask.

Is there a reason you didnt put springs on it. Are they not really nessesary? I just noticed them on the ones at the store.

  • the springs allow the cutting edge to angle back under pressure like on a real truck or the whole blade to lean forward to help it get over bumps (if you design it right) i did not do this because it would take far to much designing and welding in my oppinion. mine works just fine on pavement and in dirt you just hold the blade up a 1/4 inch

  • if there is somthin over 1/4 of an inch your plow is screwed

  • 1/4 inch of snow? um pretty sure i have plowed 10 inches no problem with rear tire chains.

  • on paved driveways its fine and if there dirt i check them before it snows to prevent it. i have no problems.

  • I shall use your design to build my own

blade. I was looking for a video like this.

    thanks for sharing.

  • this is my plow that me and my dad built go to my page @ dirtbikerboy202 to see it

  • hopefully a new high quality video first snow fall of eastern ma!

  • thax you really help me out i was gonna make one for years just didnt know what to do ill make a vid and post it so u can see mine

  • send me a massage when u get a video out

  • don't you have trouble plowing when your quad is only 2wd

  • wat r the dimensions?

  • i know

  • plymouth , mass*

  • same with mine we r gettin over a foot to

what state r u from im from massachuttess?

  • i knew it haha hows life man

  • pretty good. get a quad or a bike yet ya fruit

  • nope not yet ya tool

  • I just got a 05 bombardier outlander xt 4x4 and have noticed that with the snow plow hooked up the winch cable rubs on the upper part of my front bumper as well as the hook. Does anyone make some kind of a kit to extend out so the cable and hook clears the bumper? or maybe you have an idea for a homemade version that will work...thanks

  • ya my winch cable rubs a bit on the top of the bumper also

  • nice job looks strong

  • she holds up pretty nice. i think i video will be made today we are getting a foot of snow.

  • you didnt weld that man i know you better...lol

  • ya i know haha i cant weld that good. my friends dad, Matt did the welding.

  • yah it works great/\. its on a 2wd quad to. its got itp mudlites on the rear and i have plowed over a foot a snow before with ease. if its real slippery i have a friend ride on back and it solves the problem. hopefully more vids coming soon.

  • great job welding up the brackets

more vids of it plowing sum deep snow.

    D~
