For those whining about this method not working, this technique is highly dependent on source material. It works much better on music prior to the 80's. If you are trying to use this on modern music, the success rate is low and you will have to try other techniques. Not this guy's fault .

Well... 'Remove Vocals' actually subtracts the signals of the both channels. If the vocals are not mixed as mono, you cannot remove them with this tool.

If a Song is mixed..

U Can't remove the vocals.. because many Frequency oder frequences .. (sry for bad english . i'm german) are the same like the beat would have..

So .. if you want to kill the Vocals u have to kill some freq. from the Beat.

This means: U have a fuckin dirty instrumental.. with crappy sound :)

Incidentally a cleaner version of just the vocals can be achieved by 2 tracks, the song and the instrumental version of the song. you invert the instrumental version and combine it with the song, align the peaks to dips through timing before combining them together and the wave forms cancel out leaving the vocals left behind. this will depend on the quality of the instrumental version when compared to the song though. the more dissimilar the tracks the more out of phase they will be.

Exactly vocal removal has its compromises. Lots of people reconstruct drum beats later on.

you can get sound forge audio studio 9 is almost the same to sound forge but it gives you the option to erase the vocals or the audio of your song. you can get it by downloading the free trial from sony page and getting the keygene for all the sony products. hopes it help you out.

version 9 has it when you install soundforge you get 3 options Sound Forge Sound Forge Studio and something else sadly you have to re-install to choose it only sonics acid pro 4 lets you change between the 3 versions from the drop downs the full sound forge 9 defo has it, ive used it & it works a treat compaird to other vocal removers ps thanks to the guy who mate this tutorial, i never new this did it now ive binned 3 crapy voice removers, cos this one rocks :D

I do not believe that sound forge 9b has the channel converter. It uses a vocal eraser plug in tool which i could not find. What you need to do is get a copy of sound forge 9e. Send me a message if you need help finding it. Ill help you out.
