  • How old are those and how much did they cost you?

  • Oh, and most of those units were built to just work, so bare minimum was used and small circuits were made to carry the whole current of the amps and motors and such, so the light at the end of the circuit (batt light) flashed from immense current draw. Didnt affect performance much, although voltage dips caused dipping in the input preamp circuits. Or at least thats what i noticed on one i took apart.

  • @codemsan Yes, I see. These were not meant for high fidelity or quality by any means!

  • Nice little units. Ive always wanted one but never had a use...

  • @codemsan I agree. I don't make voice memos for myself, so I don't know what I'd do with these except show them on YouTube.

  • I have several of these, not sure of the models though.

  • @old64goat It seems microcassettes are more specialized items rather than for general use because you can't record music with any kind of quality with them.

  • @CameramanLink But I should say with these RECORDERS you can't record music with good quality. I have seen stereo microcassette recorders on YouTube with AC bias and they actually sound good, believe it or not!
