If the tape is real it means Hell is a physical location. This means it would be possible for people to escape it physically. It also doesn't make sense because if you assume the people in hell are not in physical form, but spirit form, they would NOT be capable of being heard because they don't have lungs.
Also the entire story IS patently, and able to be proved, a MYTH. Even if Hell exists, this tape is still a fraud.
They don't sound identical because TBN ran the clip through a lot of distortion and echoing and overlapping. Apparently TBN used this altered but clean track, and then the fundies elsewhere downgraded it to sound more mechanical so they could claim it was from a cassette of a mining incident which never happened.

I have explained to about a dozen people the actual word HELL comes from the norse HEL which was a pagan religious location in Norway said to be both the place of the sunset on the winter solstice and the gate of the underworld. The existence of such a place is never reported in the bible, although Gehenna is mentioned symbolically. Only in revelation (which is symbolic and is about ancient Rome and Nero) is eternal hellfire mentioned, and that only for SATAN not humans.

If the tape is real it means Hell is a physical location. This means it would be possible for people to escape it physically. It also doesn't make sense because if you assume the people in hell are not in physical form, but spirit form, they would NOT be capable of being heard because they don't have lungs.
Also the entire story IS patently, and able to be proved, a MYTH. Even if Hell exists, this tape is still a fraud.

I have explained to about a dozen people the actual word HELL comes from the norse HEL which was a pagan religious location in Norway said to be both the place of the sunset on the winter solstice and the gate of the underworld. I take Chirstianity very seriously. I know that the sounds of hell is not real. But I know God is real because you have prof all around you. Animals, trees clouds, sky, so and so. How did you think these appeared? How did you think that people just appeared. God made every living thing on earth. And God didn't originally plan to created hell. The devil did. Read the bible.

@1. Hell is not even a christian concept, it is derived from the Norse "Hel" (Place of the sunset) and the jewish "Gehenna" (A trash pit near Jerusalem) and the Greek Underworld. The existence of such a place is never reported in the bible, although Gehenna is mentioned symbolically. Only in revelation (which is symbolic and is about ancient Rome and Nero) is eternal hellfire mentioned, and that only for SATAN not humans.
2. You're argument from ignorance regarding nature makes no sense at all.

Actually, the Apocalypse (the actual name of the book) says that all are brought before the White Throne, "and all those not found written in the Book of Life" are cast into the Lake of Fire "that burns forever." Right there in 'Revelation'; you can read about it, since you don't seem to have done so.

A very logical approach to this issue, thank you. I'm Christian myself but I've had some doubts about the "Microphone in a mine," myth. I appreciate your somewhat reasonable explanation (even if you lack proof) though I do not appreciate you're flaunted personal opinions of my faith. Please keep your negative opinions to yourself. As for my opinions, I am free to voice them when I wish. And I often do so. I consider christianity laughable. If christians actually heeded the teachings of jesus, christianity would be a wonderful cult, but instead, in practice, it seems primarily concerned with death and bigotry.

Well I'd point out you can't prove a negative, since there was never any evidence to the claims of the hoax to begin with, but check snopes, they explain it better than I can.
