for people that actually like bcaa's, would this be a worthy product to preserve muscle while cutting? its listed as intra workout on bb.com and i dont care much for intra workotus because i dont lift for hours on end
I love this guys and i think they have their point. but i think the answer to why take BCAA supplement when you already taking lot of protein or whey protein in your diet is... taking BCAA supp is readily absorb rather than whey protein its much faster and also low calorie than whey. that why taking BCAA supp favors those guy wanting to lose fats while maintaining their gains.
yeah i'm gonna have to agree the only time i would consider bcaa very important is if ur like some huge dude on insulin working out for 2 hours straight taking like 20 grams of amino acids (not just bcaa) with maybe 60 grams of maltodextrin or something would make a world of a difference but for the average dude simply a whey protien is fine and cheaper now if bcaa was 1/3 or even 1/2 the price it would be a different story
BCAA's work, imo. I stayed away from them until recently and they do make a difference. I've experienced faster recovery (intra workout and next day) and lean mass gains. Don't knock it until you try it... BCAA's are more for intermediate and advanced users. If you're starting out, you're not gonna know what to look or feel for.
@U2FOREVER101 there's nothing to say about this product that would require you to try it first. BCAA supplementation is a waste of money. it has minor benifits on a hypocaloric diet, but otherwise it is just as they described.. expensive kool-aid. nothing more to say, no need to try it.
@djanthum what they are getting at is that if you have a good protein, you dont need BCAA's...if you have a good diet, you dont need BCAA's...why waste your money on something you dont need more of?...but its okay...stick to wasting money
Im skeptic on this review...but maybe u guys should actually *try* this out and give an update? This does have good amounts of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine lookin at the ingredients.
Guys i bought my scivation extend online. Seals not broken, but when i open it the powder looks caked, coagulated flour like, like milk powder exposed to water and oxidized, isit the original form looks like this?
Xtend is useful for cutting fat and preserving muscle, take it during fasted cardio in the morning, or during longer cardio sessions like a multi-hour hike. You need something to avoid going catabolic during things like that, and if you eat food right before or during, you're burning up the food you just ate for energy instead of stored fat, defeating the point of the cardio. Xtend is also delicious, i'd use it for the flavor alone even if it didn't have BCAAs..
You guys are spot on. EXPENSIVE COOLAID! ....I'm not gunna buy it anymore and buy coolaid mixture from the supermarket, way cheaper and just as nice. Although the watermelon flavor is so nice
You say that the majority of supplements you can get from food, which foods provide things for pre and post-workouts for stimulation, pump, and recovery? You suggest Creatine is something to use as a supplement since you can't get it in enough quantities from food. Which others should you supplements, which others should you be getting from food?
Hey guys love you videos and just has a quick question.I recently did my chest workout and while doing the flat bench and incline bench I didn't really feel it as much in my chest as I did my triceps.I beat my last workout I did so I got stronger but was just wondering if Im doing something wrong.
im allergic to milk and eggs and i used to eat like breek yougurt and eggs because its good protein but now i cant eat it and also i cant drink whey protein so should i buy this to get that amino acids
"only thing that caught my eye about this supplement was they have watermelon flavor, i was like i bet that shit taste good" hahhahah you guys are fucking hikarious
Well L-leucine is the most important essential amino acid for body builders because it controls protein synthesis. All of the other proteins won't matter if you aren't getting enough of L-leucine. Whey has leucine in it but I just went about and bout leuicine separately. Just started taking it a day ago. It comes in a white powder form. Not very great tasting. But I already feel my body becoming more harder. L leucine is also responsible for burning fat.
I have been reading a lot about Leucine within the last week and that is what's being said! I feel so confident in this supplemnt and the results I have been getting in just a few days of using it I went ahead and bought a 400 gram tub of it from amazon. It's AllMax Leucine, for approximately $30. I bought the Leucine from SourceNaturals on amazon but it's only a few grams in a little bottle and it's almost gone already!
Taking a BCAA is an option but I look at it look this. My whey already has BCAA's in it, so does my hemp protein, my multi vitamin, organic chicken, and peanuts I consume. But Leucine is the most important BCAA and even if I combine all the amounts I am getting from those sources it wouldn't be as much as I can get from supplementing with it. Too little Leucine is basically wasting all your other protein consumption.
Just think of it like this, Leucine is the amino acid that's behind the wheel and the other BCAA's are riding shot gun. They need Leucine to get from point A to B. Leucine needs them too but to a lesser extent.
Xtend has actually been proven to promote lean muscle gains and fat loss over more so than normal whey...even if you get alot of protein in your diet....haha yea you could drink Kool aid during training, but I doubt it's keeping you anabolic....Xtend isn't necessarily for energy, though it does help..its mainly for preventing muscle breakdown..that's why the recommend it "during" training when your body needs BCAA's the most...check the study out...I enjoy your vids guys, keep em coming
I look forward to these videos erredayy..... sometimes i wanna go to the gym just to try out the advice. @phaedruslive im 6'1 to 6'2 the most and im 205 pounds, by any means do i look like shit, im definitely above average in looks and strength but in no way shape or form am i a Beast and i got where im at with not one supplement or nutrition, my whole life i was about 184 but the last year or two ive put on 20 pounds and im still pretty much the same so you honestly dont need supplements or anything to be big, honestly its genetics, if u wanna get to that point, make sure ur caloric intake is high
Your body cannot produce all forms of amino acids and that is why there is a supplement for it. Your body cannot produce luecine, iso-luecine and valine. Which are important for a bodybuilder. As far as i know.
do you guys have any sort of certifications or anything or are you just basing this off of personal experience? it seems like most of your advice is off of personal experience, which means a lot of what you say ONLY applies to you guys. most everyone i talk to about bcaas cant stress enough the importance of them especially while cutting fat and this is coming from people with degrees in nutrition.

@Farve4ever589 Ic. Some of the stuff they say is true but u got to put your own input lol. Xtend actually helps you imo bc it removed alot of my soreness after a workout. BUt its whatever.
