  • Agnes, congratulations! Very well done! It is amazing to witness the process and the result! I am spellbound!

  • Wow, I love your work madam...

  • Ive just noticed just how well formed that nose is

  • What paper are you using?

  • @johnnybucks72 Canson (cachou colour)

  • Oh well!....never again will I use white for the 'whites' of the eye, from now on it's pale blue for me.

    Really nice work!

For my next life....I request a pastel portrait artist in Paris.

  • very very good!

  • Belo trabalho, muta sensibilidade, >_< espero um diata ter a coragem de sair de casa e ir pra uam praça e fazer o que você faz, parabéns!

  • I just found your videos today, brilliant!

  • yvadmil,

These videos are a ray of sunshine for me, refuge from a crazy world. Thanks for posting them. I'm grateful for the opportunity to "visit" Place du Tertre and to watch this colony of artists give expression to something beautiful in mankind.

  • it takes about ten minutes to finish one of these?!

    it usually takes me hours to days to finish even part of the face in colour. ><;;

amazing work, i'll keep trying to get as good as this. :)

thank yu for posting this up!

  • @PrincessSorra In fact the portrait was executed in 30 minutes.I edited out a lot, including the begining, to keep within the you tube 10 minute deadline, but 30 mins is still very fast.In fact Agnes is probably the fastest portraitist at the place du tertre.

  • @yvadmil ahh, i was gonna say, dang, ten minutes for that? xD

ahaha, but thirty mins is still just wow..

do yu perhaps have any tips on using pastels? :O

cause i've been practicing with pastels and i always seem to smudge the darker colors and can never do anything about it. ><

  • @PrincessSorra Start with mid-tone then add lighter colours. The darkest colours

should be used right at the end.Pure white highlights are finishing touches too.

Avoid white paper;tinted half-tone paper is much better for blending.Remember

all pastels will become 'dirty' if you overwork the drawing..keep it fast and fresh!

  • @yvadmil : thank yu very much! :D

i'll keep all this in mind for my next practice work. ^^

maybe after i finish, can yu perhaps find the time to critique my work a little? :O ><

ah, but then i don't wanna be a bother, ahaha.. so its alright if its a no, but if yes, it would help a lot!

ahaha, well, yeahh, thanks for the tips.x)

  • thankyou so much for this video!

i have learned a lot from it :)

  • will put more videos like this, please! yvadmil

  • Thank you yvadmil!!!!!!!!

  • Superb. Even if I disagree with the choice of colors, it's nonetheless a pleasure to see a video where a drawing of this technical level comes to life.

  • Davy your movie skills just keep getting better and better. An artist making vids of artists at work. The results are beyond words....Bravo Agnes....and Bravo Davy.

  • @jimer4444 Thank you all for the positive feedback!

  • Bravo Agnes, un super portrait; du débout à la fin. Je devrais regarder plus souvent ce que tu fais.....pour continuer à aprendre. Bravo au cineaste aussi.
