I really hope that in the future a new company will dub Detective Conan, or that it will be given a fresh start. It never had a chance in the US, as it was only on TV briefly and at bizarre hours of the night, and then straight to DVD-- there is no way that's a recipe for success. I hope they at least translate all of the movies to English, as they actually did a good job with those.

The show MAY still be dubbed, but people have to buy the DVDs. Funimation has said they will continue dubbing if they hit a threshold of sales. Then again it is not likely.

what is funny is that in French and Spanish the series has been translated so far-- I mean come on, more French episodes than English? The American audience alone should be much bigger, not to mention the English speaking world. The distribution of promotion of Detective Conan was really botched and squandered.

I just discovered this anime like a month ago and I have to say this show is pretty darn cool. I'm not that much into anime but the whole detective theme, bizarre cases, smart deductions, and great music makes it really awesome. Although apparently they're is a shit load of episodes and movies...it's going to take a while for me to flip through starting at ep1. Lol.

@max536drago You are right. BUT some of the stories are changed in the show from the manga. The show has the caes in different orders and some story elements are changed which I like since there would be like an alternative to the story. The show has some cases not made yet or never made from the manga which is weird. :)

And I'm glad because after I finished watching the subbed version I read the manga(well some of the continuation from the anime) and I didn't like it, the anime was better well atleast the zeno and zatch fight was better in the show from my opinion. I stopped reading the manga for zatch bell cause it was to different.
