the cops, like any government organisation are given orders, there orders on that day were not to enter the school, due to mislead reports that there were more then two shooters and they had grenades and automatic weapons, but still was a poor excuse they took way to long to enter the school considering they entered after eric and dylan comitted suicide.

The truth is the police action or reaction to columbine was very poor but it actually did not matter. Everyone was dead inside of like 20 minutes. The majority of the attack was aimless prowling corridors throwing bombs and shooting aimlessly. Had Eric and Dylan cointinued to kill after the library massacre then you could say that blood was on the cops hands. Because patti nielson told police at 11.20 that they were shooting kids in the library and they did not get there for FOUR HOURS.

Wether it was the cops fault or not, it happend, we cant change that, but what we can change is that it doesnt happen again. the police forces around the world have reviewed and re reviewed how they deal with situations like these. SWAT teams are trained more and longer for these types of scenarios. My school has had lock downs because people with guns and people thinking they've seen guns, its parrinoia and fear now. But the cops handled the sitatuion with skill and profesionalism
