  • @thepspdaxter Yes you can kill some one who is on cover. You just need to cover against the block he's on and press square quickly because he might counter you if you're slow

  • @zzzzzz192 Nothing in the world wrong with it, I've been running and gunning someone that aimed and stopped me before I was able to 'iron fist' them, it can be done you hard-aimer. Depending on the situation though running and gunning is necessary, and aiming can be necessary as well. If you're right up next to someone blindfire wins, if they're far away just aim and shoot, that simple. Also, if you don't like run and gunners, throw a grenade at their feet! Simple! Nothing wrong about this

  • As a game designer myself I have to say that this sounds... overly complex. hard to learn. And any game designer that believes the "best part" of a game mechanic is getting a medal should go work in a factory and get the hell out of game development.

  • @chriscalibermusic Not complaining about the game in general, it looks really awesome. Just what this game designer seems to be focusing on. Though it could easily be a trick of the video edit.

    Can't answer a question that general, a game is hugely complex from a mechanics perspective. No single person could probably keep the models of an entire game the size of Uncharted in their head at the same time. I'm really impressed by naughty dog, have been since Crash 3.

  • guy is right, when i played the summer beta, noobs would blind fire then get pised because I actually aimed with the G-MAL and popped them a couple times in the head and they were done. YOu can't get someone wiht blind fire if you are running form far away, because as your running at me like a derp and blindfiring me, I already got the head shot lined up and am firing for the kill

  • Innovation like melee traversal is what sets Uncharted apart from all other multiplayer games. That's a bonus in addition to one the best single player campaigns in gaming history...hence the 200+ awards including Game of the Year for Uncharted 2. Expect no less from Uncharted 3. Thumbs up, yeah?

    And for all the fanboys out there. I play Xbox 360 as well. Love Gears, Halo, and many others. But Uncharted 3 multiplayer is where it's at. Unbiased.

I actually suck worse at Gears 3 and Uncharted 2 and 3 than I do at Gears 1 and 2, so there goes your argument. Just because uncharted has more accesible gameplay doesn't make it less skill-based...

  • @chrisx2k6 and shooting with the gnasher. Gears 3 is the only Gears to actually take skill to compete I'm sorry to say. Uncharted however is better IMO because the pacing is faster, the controls are smoother, the map designs are more varied, the game itself is more beautiful, the weapon balance is pitch perfect, and the gameplay is more dynamic. You have more tactical options to kill in Uncharted than you do in Gears thanks to traversal attacks, ledge pulls, ledge kicks, shooting/grenade

  • @chrisx2k6 throwing while climbing, jumping to different points, etc. Uncharted 3 betters all this by retaining a hardcore mode and by bringing performance mods while still retaining competitive balance with its powerplay system. And it's just more fun IMO thanks to its set piece moments, bigger wealth of unlockables, and its better pacing. I just think that sprint needs to be toned down and not be as maneuverable and it'll be perfect. Anyways, God bless you asshole. I don't think Gears 1

    Actually this method does work. Usually when I ever try to to an assassination and little symbol is gone even though I'm still behind them, melee then rolling backwards helps. They're usually trying to melee now and you have an great chance to aim for the kill.

    Let's see what's wrong with this. The guy in behind could have just stopped instead of chasing, pressed L1 and got the kill faster. Instead, blindfired like an idiot and might have ran into other people that the other guy was leading him to.

    There is no strategy to blindfiring and steelfisting.

    Think about it ppl U2 had blindfire we lived with it because

    there was stopping power and

    Distance maintained bewtween each player

    If u blindfired in U2 in close combat you may of won the battles but at mid to long range you wouldn't ever get close enough to be effective.

    U3 I love the sprint, i really do. But

  • Meh, blindfire is pretty much fixed. It was a lot worse at first in the Subway Multiplayer, they did an update and you still can blindfire but you gotta be pretty much close to the guy. If you still get killed by blindfire, you suck then. Keep practicing. I only blindfire when the enemy is pretty close. Btw I hated the blindfire before the update, it was cheap.

  • It's not the fact that they blindfire with a Kal-7, I would just say give the popular blindfire weapons less ammo and less ammo in the gun itself, but people are right about blindfire, if they get their @#% straight with the blindfire, hell, maybe i'll get back into the scene because I'd rather play with 1.09 damage levels on uc2 then play this right now..     Actually, sprint IS the issue. Sprint is the cause, OP blindfire is the effect.

    Why do you think blindfire is so bad? Is it because of the actual blindfire? No. It's because sprint has been buffed considerably since the beta therefore making it incredibly easy to get close enough to abuse hipfire.

    Sprint is faster and extremely maneuverable compared to the beta, thus the problem. Sprint is fine, overpowered sprint = the blindfire we're seeing now.

Douche sprayers whether they run straight at you or zig zag are extremely predictable and easy to take out now...Blindfires a tactic that is and should stay(especially for very close range fire fights) get over yourself and deal with the sprayers accordingly, they're laughably predictable >.<

  • Can you all stop complaining? Seriously, the players (like me) that rack up 12-20 kills average per game are the ones that use a variety of techniques and are always on the move. Someone that stays as a sniper or stays behind cover and tries to blindfire is going to die. Stop complaining, work up some skill or play a game that you're actually good at. I suck at Halo, but you don't see me bitching about no-scopes or shotguns.

    As an RN who's seen actual gunshot wounds and trauma, I can tell you that point blank fire is a hell of a lot more devastating when compared to a shot at a distance. If you can fight off people that run and gun, that's your problem. The internet was made for knowledge, not nagging.

Most experienced Uncharted users can run and gun and switch to aiming on the fly and dodge the hell out of other people blindfiring. I'll give you the problems with sprint, it's crap, I forget I even have the feature and barely use it. And there should be stopping power for someone charging at you. But the blindfire itself isn't THAT overpowered where it ruins the game.

    Nothing in real life should ever apply Uncharted because it's an arcade experience through in through.

    Blindfire is effective because it's essentially the game aiming for you. Sure you have to point your character in the enemies general direction, but the auto-lock is doing most of the work. The KAL-7 only exasperates the issue further with it's insane ROF + BF accuracy.

    I believe sprint, the lack of stopping power, and the K7 are the root causes for hipfire being so bad though.

  • @tripleWRECK See I don't agree with that, I believe the drive for games is to be more realistic. Physics based engines, lighting, etc. From the hip shooting is not the game, it's the character in the game shooting at someone. If I'm off for some reason with my camera, I lose a FTH battle, but if I'm on point against someone that is blindly shooting, I'll win. I don't resort to it unless I'm changing tactics. I'm a down the irons type. And yeah, the K7 sucks.

    There's a difference between realistic gameplay and realistic graphics/presentation.

    Blindfire battles come down to who shoots first or who has a KAL-7/Micro w/rapid fire. There is little to no skill involved (the problem with hipfire in general).

    Unfortunately, if someone is anywhere near you they'll charge you zig-zagging and blindfiring. No matter how good your aim is you'll lose a lot in that kind of scenario.
