I have never attempted to do any embossing. I find the embossing gun plus the embossing product a bit expensive and was wondering if a hair dryer would produce a similar effect. If I would like it I would be more apt to consider buying it....after all Christmas is coming!
@craftygrandma56 A hair dryer is not hot enough & the air blows too hard, so all it would do is blow the embossing powder everywhere. You could very carefully & with extreme caution, hold paper with embossing powder over a toaster to melt it if you wanted to give it a try. Or maybe go to your local scrapbook store and ask them if they could give you a demo.
I was afraid of that ....well thanks for the info...the toaster seems a little extreme seeing that our fire alarm goes off when we make toast!!! LOL!!! (It's sensitive)
I use different kinds of glue in my videos/scrapping. If you're talking about a liquid glue, it was most likely Ranger's "Glossy Accents" and if you're talking about the big tape runner, that is the Scotch ATG 700 by 3M and the adhesive refills I use are the Scotch 908 Gold by 3M.
I havnt been on to much my son is getting married this Sat. I made the a whole wedding album.and they loved it. ya I gave it to them aready:) my first 12X12 album.
Yes, embossing powders will stick to paint just as well as they will stick to ink/versamark. Just be careful to let the paint dry thoroughly, or it will boil and make a nasty mess!
The grid on my table is actually a very large self-healing mat made by Gingher for quilting. I got it at a fabric shop on sale and I love it! It keeps my desk from getting messy and it's easy to clean with a Chlorox wipe when it starts to look scary!
Man.. I typed out this whole long message and it disappeared.. I was wanting to know how do you do this?.. Do you record the whole thing and upload in parts or do you scrap in parts and upload as you go??..
How do I do it? I'm a scrapping and video editing genius! :D Seriously, though, I just scrap the way I normally scrap and I have my camera on while I do it. Then I upload the video to my computer when my memory card gets full so I can share my projects with the world.
I'm so happy to see that ~ it really makes my day to see that I can be of inspiration! I'm sure your albums will turn out beautifully, as your projects are always so lovely & amazing!
Thanks! More videos of this album will be coming soon, as this is the first part of five. Parts 2 through 4 will be the rest of the album coming together and Part 5 will be an overview of the completed album!
Thank you so much! The cover of this album was a little bit time consuming just because there was so much time spent waiting around for paint to dry, but I think it was totally worth it in the end! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!

Wow! I didn't know embossing powders worked with other mediums, I thought you had to use the ink pads. I have to try this now!
Where did you get the grid pads on your table?
