Yeah, the Morph Ball, WJ Boots, Bomb, Super progression at the start is frustrating and mean. I guess it's there to root out those unfit for the challenges ahead.
After that it's mostly smooth sailing. Except Maridia of course. But Maridia is always balls.
I just started watching, but I wonder if you ever learned this: jumping straight up from a crouching start nets you one block of height. Terribly useful, that.

He uses Windows XP, the emulator is ZSNES, and the recording software is Camstudio.
