@videobuns Why would he be there in early 1964? His previous series CHECKMATE ended two years earlier, and it would be another two years before FAMILY AFFAIR debuted (neither of which ran on NBC). In the same way, CAR 54 was canceled the year before by the Peacock. Miltie was there most likely due to his iron-clad contract (30 years at $100K a year, for NBC exclusivity).
this and other live entertainment TV shows were often great programming subjects,which were often shown on TV throughout the 1960s.you'd just about never see this or any other live entertainment shows on TV,nowadays!
