The 20th century clock looks out of place too - this clock face says "1972" to me. Roman numerals would look much better. Definitely change that plain white background on the clock with either antiquing or Rebel artwork. JMO.

Another thing that might help the "modern style frame" would be the embellishment of of color around the frame, such as Confederate designs, stars & bars, images, etc. Just trying to be helpful.

A cool idea for a clock but I think the design is too contemporary for the theme. I think it would look a lot better in an oval format with antique finish, something more reminiscent of the 1860s.

I would stop for a moment and look out of curiosity (when viewing the clock in this video) but I would not purchase it because it doesn't have a "wow factor".
