  • 在民進黨的崛起、社會運動的壓力、國民黨內蠢蠢欲動的權力分食者­的壓力下，李登輝能夠在他1990~2000年主政的台灣，順利­達成形式上的民主化，真得很不容易。如果他當時採取兩蔣的反民主­式鎮壓（這也是國民黨內原本希望的），那麼台灣的民主支路會走得­更艱辛曲折許多。
