All due respect to Ovechkin, he's great. But I will cite game 7 of the 2009 playoffs between the two teams. First, Ovechkin was stoned by Fleury on a breakaway. Later, Ovechkin tried to throw a hit, but bowled over his teammate. Then to cap it off, Ovechkin turned the puck over to Sid, and Sid proceeded to score on the ensuing breakaway. If Ovechkin can win a playoff series in that type of fashion, then I'll say the gap will close. Until then, Sid has a slight advantage imo
