I'm not scared of them seeing me. I'm scared of my friends finding out scince i'm only 11. When i'm having my period at school i ask to goto the nurse. The nurses office always has supplies and you could even grab a tampon or pad out of your locker and go use the nurses office. When you come back and your friends ask where you went just say that you forgot something in the last class. It works great. And if your not popular your friend don't notice that your gone.

Whenever i was in the bathroom and i needed to change, but the wrapper would be really loud, id always either wait for someone to start drying their hands, or i'd hit the dryer before i got into the stall and just go really quickly

Im in 5th grade too and having a period during class is bad for me I keep pads in my bag i can ask to go to the toilet go to my bag get a pad put it in my pocket i try and do it secretly i dont want my crush to see ^-^haha

@535bunny Yes, you should always have at LEAST 1 pad with you, at school and in your purse and stuff.... even if u just finished, or arent supposed to get it yet, you never know

if you use pads, the 'sure' pads are now coming with a free pad holder, i have a ton.. they are tins with just cool designs on so it doesnt look like something suspicious guys can just take out and open..

@cc1015 well there is one place where you can keep a tampon that i can think of! bra!!! lol it sounds strange but it works, also tuck your pad in your pants and make sure your shirt is covering it, its very simple and easy

i go to a school where we dont switch classes (im in 7th grade) so im in the homeroom the whole time. If i need to change a pad/tampon i have to ask to go to the br and pull a new one out in front of the class of boys and girls. No i cnt bring my backpack to the br and no i cand hide it in my pocket cuz i wear a uniform (no pockets!!!!)

@cc10125 You could try putting it into your bra before school. It might be a little annoying but it's not too bad. Just make sure it doesn't poke out through you shirt, or show at all. :)

what i am worried about is much different than someone hearing me open packaging. i just got mi peroid for the first time yesterday. thnk god its da weekend lolz. anyways, im worried about pads leaking and when i restart my monthly cycle, i wont exactly know wen, so it might leak into mi pants. i carry around an extra pair, but thts what im worried about. although, this video did boost my confidence in some aspects. @savyq354 well there is nothing to be worried about the only people in the bathroom at the same time are girls and they have the exact samething happen to them to probablly and if you are worried about it showing dont worry it will not show if you use the right pads they should not leak talk to your mom grandma and doctor if you need some guidence and dont feel embarrassed

I have two tips:

If you have pads with the crinkly wrapper, just open them at home and fold them up again so you don't need to tear it open at school.

If you wear tampons and or pads, put on both in the morning, and when your tampon is full, just pull it out and you have your pad! However if your period is heavy you might still need to change it later. In that case, use tip number 1!

I have had my period a few times now but I watched this like a while b4 I got it and it helped. I prefer Tampons at school because It takes less time to change. Everytime I had to change my pad I would take too long and Be late for class

whenever I'm at school and I'm on my period, I'll leak and blood will get on my jeans.. :( ill try to wear 2 pads but it still doesn't prevent the leaking. any advice? its really embarrasing, when i have to check after every class to make sure theres no blood on me. (idk what i should do)

@emeraldgum use a higher obsorbency pad, so it will soak up more blood, try to get some what thin ones so it doesn't feel like you are wearing a diaper

Ya. my friend... She is one grade below me... started her peroid 2 days ago... and yesterday we had a pool party... It was scary for her cuz she used a tamon her very first peroid.... and she didnt have her mom.... I havent had my peroid yet but I thought i did once and used a tampon so I knew... I live with 2 brothers and we all share a bathroom, so when I start I really hate leaving wrappers and pads in the trash so I wrap them in toilet paper then throw them away and I don't have to worry about my brothers seeing it

thanks for the video. i just got my first period yesterday and im 12. lots of girls in my school think its soooo funny when they find a pad wrapper in one of the stalls. then when they get it, its not so funny anymore . hopefully they will learn that its a way of life and they will act more mature about it.

another tip if you are still worried about that: put a pad and tampon in when you are still at your house in the morning. when you need to change, you can just take the tampon out and your pad will already be there! this takes out the wrapper problem, but yeah, you're all girls and no one will really care xD
