I had stopped watching somewhere along Johto and only returned to catch some of the league fights. Then I fell out until I caught Battle Frontier near its start. I kept with it for the rest of this season, because it was actually something interesting and somewhat different compared to old episodes.
When I was a kid and saw this for the very first time, I saw Tyranitar running by Brock and thought "OH MY GOD BROCK GETS A TYRANITAR???? YES, MAYBE HE'LL BE COOL NOW AND STOP BEING WEIRD TO ALL THOSE GIRLS!!!" And now....don't worry Brock, I respect your actions with the ladies hahaha
I dont like Sinnoh or Unova i wish they would bring back the old episodes like Battle Fronteir, Advanced Battle, and the original i miss Jhoto, Kanto, and the Hoenn regions!

may was a great battler and coordinator,she was even on the same level as ash in a battle,shes morre kind and understanding and is more in tune with ash and her pokemon
dawn was ok but she was way to like girly and cared about her looks way to much and shes to much of a rookie,may has awesome experience and can show her emotions without being embarassed,GO MAY!!!!!!!!!!

I did like Misty and May better than Dawn. To me it just seemed like everything worked out to well for her. How does a newbie coordinator beat someone of May's level though with only a few wins under her belt. And her rival Ursula never beat her once. Not even once though and Ursula always managed to get Dawn into a corner with at least 50 seconds or so less. The only good thing about her is that she did have some good appeals and she did start to grow on me when she completed her team.
Misty was about as tsundere as 4kids would ever allow, and for that I respect her. Then again at aged 5 I didn't really know what tsundere was so... xD
Also the new episodes are to moé moé happy for me, the classics weren't afraid to get dark and gritty.

Did I seriously a read a pokemon war over who was a better female character? Seriously **** you! All of ash's compainons were great in their own way. May=Gym leader of water types. May=Introduced the concept of Contest festivals. Dawn=Beginner and second to fall in may's footsteps. Iris= dragon master in training. They were all made and have their own personalities and tratis. Don't get me wrong I understand that everyone has their own opinions but DON"T shove yours down other's throats.
@Ray01Geogeass totally agree with this, i think that everyone (except dawn i couldn`t stand her so i didn't watch this season) has apported something new to the series. what i didn't like was the fact that brock isn't traveling with ash xD and the changes of their voices in the latin version

I hated Dawn, I really did. Her English voice made me want to punch her in the face. -_- Misty will always be my favorite, although I liked May as well.
I loved Misty sure quick tempered and mean but ending of master quest showed she really did appreciate Ash and Brock she showed her true feelings Misty really did care she was no bitch just naggy, and plus she's cool,calm to face kinda different in soul silver and heart gold probably because she's older

Manga continues the item usage, HM usage etc etc. Moreover it is loyal to skill and level system. There were not mistakes for Brock and Misty. Even Brock Fans were unhappy his role in Sinnoh, he did nothin!

They were just replacing her with the normal girl role that had to be filled. And why so much hate for Misty? Is it so wrong to be a strong teenage girl? Is it wrong to be mature and sassy, instead of clingy and girly? May and Dawn were very childish compared to Misty. There was nothing mature about them. In my opinion anyway.

@Ray01Geogeass totally agree with this, i think that everyone (except dawn i couldn`t stand her so i didn't watch this season) has apported something new to the series. what i didn't like was the fact that brock isn't traveling with ash xD and the changes of their voices in the latin version

I loved Misty sure quick tempered and mean but ending of master quest showed she really did appreciate Ash and Brock she showed her true feelings Misty really did care she was no bitch just naggy, and plus she's cool,calm to face kinda different in soul silver and heart gold probably because she's older

@Derinfrekans i watched pokemon since the first episode and i loved misty. i don't like dawn but i DO like iris and may... for me i liked may better.. don't know why (maybe contest and her personality) but i am a poke fan, and just because i preffer may (even though i like misty) doesn't make me not be a poke fan ^^.. i was really sad when misty left but well i fell in love with may (hm i'm a girl too but well) and iris is also fine, but still i like may > misty > iris ^^

@AFGThugonomics Im gonna have to say that Misty was the only well developed girl with a great back story to boot. The rest were just... there. Misty was wasn't bitchy. She's the same as all anime girls, you mess up, we will hit you. And she went home to be leader of the Cerulean Gym. That's the REAL pokemon girl. And the girl we all grew up with. None of these new bimbos could hope to replace our original Pokemon girl.

@itachipain Misty's back story was slacked on their to make her interesting cause she wasn't even planned on being in the series and wasn't popular. Green was suppose to be but wanted a different direction form the manga. She was just a Gym leader. Nothing more. Haha wrong she was bitchy and rude. Sorry but most of the Poke fans adore Misty... of course there are some haters that is same for every characters... but I am sure you are just minority. Misty was the real girl, May and Dawn were just like little girls. And there is some kind romance between Ash and Misty. Also we loved as Character, she was hot headed but at the same time funny, emotional red head and beautiful.

I'm simply stating the truth that has many blinded and brag on how she's " the best female character" while the sadden truth is not known to them. She WAS a drag character and was their to not go the similar direction as the manga. Ash and Misty both confirmed that they are just best friends including Brock. Nothing else. Her character wasn't as depth as Dawn not appealing compared to May or Dawn..

Confirmation for friendship never shadows the what happened in season 1, beginning of the season 2 and second movie. Shame show became a bit kind of kiddish after Johto. If the producers were not happy Misty then they never would introduce Iris and Dento 2. Sorry man original trio was best, they were really special.

Misty had the most flaws and May and Dawn were upgrades from her. The series was getting dull until they made changes. If her "fan-base" is so great, then it would have stayed with the trio. But it obviously isn't and is short compared to May and Dawn's. Whats Iris and Dento got anything to do with Misty? Your opinion while facts state

@AFGThugonomics There are huge differences between Manga and Anime more particularly than Green issue, I am so happy they created Ash, cause if they call this p...y as Red it would be big shame. You know Manga has serious nature, there are tons of deaths, injuries. It would be cool if Green was never canceled if the SHOW HAD SERIOUS NATURE. But in this way Misty was not bad choice. I stated Iris and Dento cause they are like both Gym leaders as Brock and Misty, so first trio was not a mistake

Red is the big hero but Ash was a good choice because loosing lessons are important in life. "serious nature" no. Green could of been in their without the so called "serious nature". Not all manga are life that and did you even read it? The current trio isn't a mistake and is rounded well due to the previous one.

In the anime pokemon has no levels, sometimes they evolve at stupid times, there are many logical mistakes etc etc. Anime is so different than Manga omg pls. I read all chapters

She had many flaws and was disliked compared to May or Dawn. Upgrade versions might I add. Series IS BASED on the manga but goes a different direction. The games were inspired by the series and manga.

Manga continues the item usage, HM usage etc etc. Moreover it is loyal to skill and level system. On the other hand Anime break many rules, different strategies, electric pokemon can handle ground sometimes etc etc. Many mistakes or differences. But Manga is totally based of Game. There were not mistakes for Brock and Misty. Even Brock Fans were unhappy his role in Sinnoh, he did nothin!

@Derinfrekans The games still inspired the series and manga. Manga then came second cause it was the original. Btw in Japan, it was already planned out. The series was inspired by the manga and was suppose to follow it but took a different approach. Manga has the story though. Just like today's, its the official. The first season was concentrated on Ash. Others were drags especially Misty. Fixed with Brock later. No, they were satisfied and like him the way he was.

However Manga focuses Game characters, game mechanics with serious nature on the other side Anime focuses based characters with kiddish nature and just some of the game mechanics. @AFGThugonomics Why use the word upgrade? They are all different characters and unique in their own way. They wewn't trying to "upgrade" Misty. They were just replacing her with the normal girl role that had to be filled. And why so much hate for Misty? Is it so wrong to be a strong teenage girl? Is it wrong to be mature and sassy, instead of clingy and girly? May and Dawn were very childish compared to Misty. There was nothing mature about them. In my opinion anyway.
