So basically, speaking only about performance, it depends, but plane are 90% always more performant.

What you could say, on the other hand, planes are really, really most expensive. That's the real weakness.

As someone who's familiar with how go-karts work, no, actually, they aren't. Go-karts have no suspension and rely on chassis flex to do the work for them. They also don't have front brakes or differentials. They also, most certainly, could not be made street legal anytime soon. It's much more comparable to a street legalized Formula car than a go-kart.

The engine is a Suzuki Hayabusa 1.3l NA from the motorbike of the same name. Motorbikes dont need catalytic converters and by (UK) law any car build using a motorbike powertrain falls under the same regulations. Basically, if a motorbike is road legal and you pinch the engine off it, the engine remains road-legal (not exactly true but thats the idea) To be road-legal (in the UK) a car needs to pass an MOT and an inspection and be awarded an SVA by the DVLA.

Yes, 30 bhp will make a big difference in cars that light, but i highly doubt it would amount to 4 seconds on that track. I suspect the Radical has a better suspension on it then the Westfield and that probably made the biggest difference.

It doesn't matter how twisty the track is, suspension is still one of the most important (if not the most important) aspect of a car's performance, except for perhaps tires. In Formula 1, Toyota lost the championship in part because it's chassis and suspension setup couldn't take advantage of the downforce that F1 cars generate. So, I stand by my earlier view that the 4 second difference between the Radical and the Westfield is probably because of suspension differences.

your absoultley correct. i work for radical and the suspension setup in the SR3 is VERY complex and outstandingly better than that of the westfield, also the radical relies on downforce to keep it on the ground (just look at its shape, its like that for a reason) it weighs (physically) far less than the westfield. but dont doubt, the radical is by far the superior car. radicals are some of (if not THE) best track cars out there. : ]
