Can you visit the scientists, talk to them, stay some hours in the main station, see them working and ask questions about everything?? :D I'm so curious about all their work!! to go by air the only people you can go with is Antarctic Logistics and Expeditions, or ALE. Flights leave from Chile so you have to get there first. Apart from flying there are many many cruises that will take you there... be warned though it s damned boring as one place looks just like another and its frigging cold too. Essential the whole place is an industrial science park (zero level pollution of course) google - associatedcontent and search for "flying into antarctica":

looks like they landed somewhere near Scott base which is NZ territory or was it as McMurdo?, i know that the US Air force uses New zealand as a stopping point for operation Deep freeze, their planes are at Christchurch airport all the time. great footage!

@BlondeCurlsBlueEyes Well it looks like they came out of an AC130 transport plane for the US ARMY and it says US AIR FORCE on the plane... I don't think he is a tourist.

@Blazenwave dude your stupid. first it is not an "AC130 trnasport plane" "AC" stands for "AttackC130" which have guns. c130s are the transport plane and they dont have guns.. and that is a c17globemaster 3 that they came out of.

@marshman1278 My father was in an AC130 once, not for battle, but to move around, he said they are used by the Army more frequantly as transporters than attackers, and the guns are for self defensive or if enemys are spotted while flying to a new area. Anyways, right after I commented I realized it was a C17 but I didn't give a shit and knew someone would pop up attacking me, but I can't give a shit less.

@marshman1278 But don't get me wrong, AC130 are called into missons, but they are used as transports when flying to an area where a blackhawk or other helicopter would not have enough fuel and is not fast enough.
