  • This game got difficult very quickly but still the best Space Invader variant of the day.

  • this was much better than the Atari game space invaders.

  • I should've gotten this back in the days instead of Zaxxon and Donkey Kong.

  • I just went to a flea market and got a sega genisis with 3 controllers and space armada for the intellivision!! FOR 5 DOLLARS!

  • lol the upper ufo is hard to get.

  • This was one of my favorite Intellivision games. I ruled at this game though was stressful! Only Night Raider and Snafu were better.

  • Thanks a lot man, I was looking for this. :D

  • Sure it was a clone, but it was a good one. Loved this game as a kid.

  • Why were there so many clones in the 80s

  • @cookie123456789012

Because not everybody could get an official license for their systems so they had to make games that were similar, but not identical, and hope nobody sued. Who is going to buy your game system if you don't have some version of the latest arcade games?

  • Thanks for posting - first video game i ever played! Entertaining commentary too :)

  • @trople One of my first too! My favorite game on the Intellivision

  • I remember playing this game as a kid. I think in the higher levels of game play, the flying saucers would stop and fly down to the bunkers and start consuming them!

  • Space Invaders clone, but sure fun.

  • Very addictive game.

  • I played this thing for hours. The area effect was helpful..aliens flying into the explosion of a neighbour would die as well. But those homing bombs were sometimes impossible to escape. I recall a "Hyperspace" feature but it didn't help much. I think ITV just wanted an easy timekiller of a game.

  • if you were better you'd see a lot more innovation. After each pair of rounds, a new element is introduced. You saw the first one, the orange bombs. I forget the order, but the bottom two rows go invisible, then a slow white bomb that is attracted to your position like a magnet, then all four rows are invisible. I played this game a lot and liked it much better than the arcade version.

  • True enough.

  • Where I live, there are only 7 intellivision games. I just bought them all and one of em was this =D.I've played this game online at vh1 site it's fun and REALLY hard I only could get to the 3rd level lol...well I bought an intellivision on ebay 2 weeks ago and im still waiting for it to come in mail. Thanks for the vid.

  • .. And by the way. The Intellivision had a higher resolution then the Atari 2600.. But somethimes, the programers was just lazy.. :P

  • No this game just didnt need any "higher resolution"

  • I like this game.. =D
