Saw them in Orlando when their first album came out. They got a bunch of airplay in the area. One of the managers or something at JRR helped them out a bit.I think the song imprint was about him after he passed away. They were a kick ass band.It sucks that they are not together anymore
In the general scheme of life and losing someone to cancer and never knowing until 10 years later the actual meaning. I listened to Blue in the Face today and wondered why you aren't trying to go again. M y mom always said "If you cant find what you're looking for, chances are you haven't gone far enough." Now I know about the wreck, but everyone survived. What if Randy Rhoads would have been so lucky? I'm just sayin'
oh and if u can get ahold of a still rain cd which will b very very hard to find u will love it that was the cd that got them out there then donnie and troy picked up a new drummer and bassist and formed Dd but i liked still rain the best
donnie cam from my town i have spoke to him afew times since they broke up. troy is doing awesome spoke to him 2 days ago was with dark new day then evanescence now is perm'd with seether hes the only1 who puts it out there
This band is one of the 3 fantastic bands to come out in the early 00's and break up after a short time. The other 2 bands are Acroma and Revis... All 3 of those bands could have dominated the airwaves... but it was not to be :(
I too discovered this band after they broke up. What a shame that crap bands like Nickelback and Three days Grace get radio airplay and these guys didn't. These guys should have been huge! I discovered them thanks to satellite radio. Great bands like this can no longer reach the masses with the current shit state of the music and radio industries. dD you have a HUGE fan in Pittsburgh!
dD is my favorite "unknown" band of all time!!! It's such a shame they didn't get more support from RCA and then Roadrunner records. They could have been huge.
I was at that show, the day after I got married. Me and my wife had Still Rain memorabilia, and Donnie and Troy were blown away. They signed it for us, and nicknamed us the Honeymooners, because we postponed our honeymoon one day so we could see the show.
That's so cool Hauk. We probably passed right by each other or were in line at the same time when we were getting things signed. Who knows, maybe even rockin' it out next to each other at the front of the stage. That's where me and my best friend Ben Mansfield was. Ben use to play there at POP's in a Band called Gideon.
My band Fivetimezero, has played there numerous times. They want us back there, but we are currently singerless. And yes, I was in the front row at Pops I think the whole time, right in front of Donnie. I wish they were still together. Donnie Rocks!!
i dont like troy he took the place of john lecompt in evanescence. i like john he was awsome i mean i am sure troy is nice but he took the place of john.
this is a great band.. i found ther cd in a salvation army but i could not buy so i downloaded as many songs as i could find of them and they freakin rock!!!!
Donnie Where are You? ONe of my all time favorite singers in the world, and one of my favorite bands along with Still Rain...I wish I could find out what Donnie is doing these days. His voice is too great to be silent!!!
