It's worth the $15 or $20 you'll pay for it at a Gamers or Walmart, respectively. It's fun for a while, but I think the other Civ games are better.

An easier way would be using one city and not exploring on Beta Centuri. At the beggining build an army of Modern Infantry and defend the city. Keep building temples, cathedrals, markets and banks. Also build anything that increases production. Manage your workers for food and you should reach lvl 31 on your city (highest lvl) and you will keep getting population growth. Then just play the waiting game and either build World Bank or United Nations. Whichever one you reach first.

The best way my son found was to go to Beta Centauri, build one modern infantry army, build all buildings. When completed then build all the wonders you can. Then focus on economic victory until the com tells you that you are ready to build the world bank and you will win with only one city needed.

there is actually a much easier way to do this, although it doesn't make much sense to me. if you go to lightning round(scenerio) you start with 3 cities. if you do not make a forth you can get this. i got it like that on accident.

Play a scenario game (it never says it has to be regular game play ^_^), choose the one that starts you at 1000 gold, rush your units (I forget which civ works best, try arab), and start kicking butt! get horsemen, settle near sea if possible for science etc... Just start pumping horsies, and rush!!!

great job I tried it today but failed :( maybe next time, 1 question plz, "how come I can't select the army I want, I mean the game randomly selects what army I start with after every turn than I have to pause every army until I come to the one I need, then I have to activate the next one I need but if there are only one unit in that army it will not let me select it" is this a bug or am *I doing something wrong?

Once you form an army, then it becomes one unit. You can never break it up.

I did this achievement as the Japanese on King difficulty. My capital was located on the coast. So I had a large amount of trade and I just spammed Defensive units, and bought technology whenever I had the money. Space Victory ftw :D

This is actually pretty easy to do if you're trying to avoid the long battles in the later game and stuff. All you have to do is play the scenario where everyone starts with 1000 gold as the Egyptians or Americans.

Did this today, I tried going for science victory but it didn't work out (ran out of time which I didn't know about)

So I went back to a previous save, and won via economic.

Trust me, managing one city is much easier than managing 5+ cities, and this isn't too hard if you do it right.

You fools! I managed to get the achievement with loads of cities! If you play as the mongols, then you just capture barbarian vilages and enemy cities and it doesn't count as you making any. I won with a domination victory having control of about 22 cities, but because the only one I founded was my capitol, it gave me the achievement.

31 is the highest pop per city, and the maps are all about the same size if I remember correctly. About a small to medium size Civ 4 map.

I've heard that you can actually take over other cities, just not build any of your own. I did it very literally though, and only kept my one city. If you want to avoid culture flipping, sell the Masonry tech to your enemies so that they can build walls.
