Can anyone tell me why vega didn't DP every time akuma jumped, especially in the earlier rounds? Is there something I'm not getting? I feel Vega could have won easily, jumping is very punishable with DP.

Not sure about high ranked matches but i main Vega and NEVER use grab unless it's in the air against Akuma...It's just wrong...

@capfudge The only reason Akuma landed that ultra is because the Vega player was using his backflip too much. Vega is super vulnerable near the end of that backflip and the Akuma player teased him into it with that standing roundhouse and then punished him.

he is illegal in HDR, but he's legit in 4. yeah demon does alot of damage, but its also very easy to dodge and it has very low priority unless you at point blank range.

Is it just me or is Akuma's ultra just unfairly good and ridiculously easy to pull off into comparison to Vega's, Guile's or Zangief's. "Balance" is a term too idly used by game developers :P

Akuma'S is usually very easy to avoid, can't remember last time someone did it to me and there's a ton of Akumas on PSN. Zangief isnt that hard to do. You practice for half hour and you're good to go. You have to buffer it during other moves, but it's ok. I have to admit Guile's and Vega's do suck though lol.

This is probably average player skill. when I play my brother casually our fight are like this except shorter in length. basically whatever attacks come to our mind we use it without considering the situation; this is the same thing I see here. pros on the other know what they are doing and strategy

Whomever posted this must have labeled this a "pro" match because of a couple of cross ups and dashing. I saw nothing special from the Vega player. I myself am pretty good with Vega and I could easily beat this akuma. When you play Vega you really need to stay in the air and keep your opponent guessing. yes it goes through firepalls, but akuma landed and blocked so the ex shc immunity from vega(balrog) ended with akumas block so he eat the fireball :/ i would rate it: bad luck
