The freestyle format was so much more competative, and people tried alot of harder, but it's so much less entertaining that the GT/KOTD written format. It was also way more unfair on the rappers to not let them rap with writtens, especially when there are thousdands of people watching, cos freestyling isn't indicative of how good you are as a rapper.

one of the most intense battles I've ever seen, I remember watching it when it first came out and everything that was on the line. You can feel the emotion and passion of the Brits after judges decided to waive off the OT.. one of the most intense battles I've ever seen, I remember watching it when it first came out and everything that was on the line. You can feel the emotion and passion of the Brits after judges decided to waive off the OT.. I don't blame Eurgh for going off, even though he did go off for a little too long, but there was A LOT on the table, it's not like this was a promo battle.

Man, people forget that this was a different time...This is when international battles and stuff were quite new (ish) and there still was that stigma of the home-field vs away etc. I mean check Kulez vs Borat or Saint vs Borat, it's the same shit you see here but even worse cos Borat was on his own and the crowd really fucked him up. Still Jumpoff really should have done this on neutral ground and with neutral JUDGES for an accurate outcome but Arkaic and Eurgh didn't help by acting like kids.
