Thanks again for posting this & splicing B4L's beautifully barking & crazily catchy song with your brilliantly chosen pics. Just thought I should suggest one slight amendment to your listed lyrics: reckon the line after 'They rode in on sinking boats' is actually 'Ran in their gloves and coats'. Makes more sense in the context IMAO; plus Natasha (a Brit from Brighton, round the corner from my home town incidentally) wouldn't pronounce 'rented' to rhyme with 'ranted'. Hope I'm not ranting here!
To quote Lugosi's Dracula on hearing the wolves howling: "The children of the night, such sweet music they make!". This rare gem of a song confirms Natasha Khan's status as a spiritual child of the night, not to mention astounding singer / songwriter of course. Love the weirdly beautiful juxtaposition of comforting yet melancholic strings during the chorus. Is she (or we for that matter) more the angry wolf or loving 'humanitarian swell'? Thanks for this & the suitably atmospheric gothic images!
i just heard this song for the first time today and i love it!! of course anything Natasha writes usually goes to the top of my list.
Love you lady! Keep it up.
