' we know what kind of grieve you were in but that does not give you the write to create them for us we have after all our own grieves.

  • an eye opener. i myself havent watched this.

  • this seems interesting but i hsve ti ask what is bahai?

  • the dialogue is not correspondient to the real movie :/

  • Hi i just signed in to tell you that i loved this clip

but are you going to make a full movie of it anytime soon?

  • EL AYATOLA DEBE ESTAR REVOLCANDOSE EN SU TUMBA AL VER ESTO JAJAJAJA CAPITALISTAS QUE ESTAN EN CONTRA DE LOS IDEALES DE LA URSS JAJAJ QUE APOYO A JOMENI EN SU LUCHA XD, PERO ELLOS CREARON A SADAMM Y EL FUE MIL VECES PEOR :P

  • It would be a lie to say that this movie is not good.

  • It would be a lie to say that this movie is not good.

  • I love this movie! I first saw it in 2008! :)

  • No one said that Islam was a bad religion. The Iranian Government is not Islam. They only think they are Islamic because they take the worst parts of that beautiful religion and make it national policy.

And your opinion of Baha'is was not worth 2 cents.

Also, this was apparently made by the Muslim Network for Baha'i rights. The people who made this were not garnering sympathy for themselves.

  • I don't get why the title is Persepolis 2 (Trailer)... because I heard Marjaine was actually thinking of making a Persepolis 2 for the current things going on in Iran, so this video confused me. I don't think your plagiarizing her work but you should change your title. Regardless, nice video. I agree with it's message.

  • It's true that this film may be considered as copyright infringement by conservative people (which I'm not), and that copyright also includes a moral side (right to integrity), but I seriously doubt Mrs Satrapi's intention was distorted in any way by this mashup (and none of that junk talk about commercial losses please, it just isn't the case that viewing this clip would take away customers).

Oh, and to give credit where it is due, the music in the clip was composed by Smith & Dragoman.

  • Thank you for this humane service to the largest religious minority in Iran. My heart is moved by your efforts to elucidate viewers.

Some 37 years ago I was instructed to study the Faith of Islam to vindicate the Truths of Mohammad's Revelation to Westerners with little or no exposure to facts. Decades ago most books on Islam were written by clergy who spent some time living in the Middle East. Experts they were not. Fair & unbiased?...No.

May we meet in the next World of mercy and love.

  • 1.

I feel for everyone who is politically or religiously persecuted.

However what you have done with Marjane Satrapi's work is just plain wrong, i neither care about copyright nor religion but taking someones work and twist and distort it so it fits your message is very low. Persepolis is an excellent Movie but it wouldn't be that way if it was just a sequence of blatant political messages. Like in your "trailer" about the "Sequel to Persepolis".

  • @fishbong No, it's not. This is called "transformative media" or a "digital mashup," which in this modern world is an accepted form of communication. You can be offended by it, but claiming that it's "wrong" is false. It isn't.

  • I understand what you are saying, and I too believe Persepolis was more than a blatant political message. However, I feel a big part of the message was how a disturbing government can deeply affect the lives of the civilians. I believe this story was a prime example about how government isn't just politics... Its civilian's lives and their rights. So in this way, the private (family, community) ties in with the public (government).

    That's just my opinion.

  • the film that dare to touch people sensitivity always win award...it's a way to encourage people to produce the same masterpiece..then, made people lost their own sensitivity..just opinion

  • Do you have Marjan Satrapi's permission to use her work?

  • We already responded to this seperately in several comments. Please fetch for them and view our statements concerning any "copyright" accusations for this. Thank you.

  • What is up with you? Look up "fair use" and stop bothering people who are doing an amazing job. Idiot.

  • Copyright laws generally allow the use of short clips from copyright media for educational/non-profit purposes.

  • You are just a troll for the Iranian regime, stop bothering and persecuting.

  • @persiacom God, like if everything on youtube is given permission to post it.

  • @persiacom fuck marjan satrapi we talking about BAHAIs HAMVATAN here and we dont need her permission

  • There's going to be a sequel?

  • how accurate is this to the book?

    please let me know (:

  • Wasn't the movie french?

  • thank you for standing up for Baha'i people. it is honorableand touching to see Muslims stand up for those who suffer. even if people believe even the opposite of what we believe, we can still respect them, love them, and watch out for them as friends, and fellow humans. i am a follower of Jesus, a Christian- my Lord teaches us to love and pray for even enemies. thank you for showing that love can transcend creedal differences. God bless you, in Christ.

  • Religion..the root of all persecution.

  • Not all religions. Baha'is don't persecute anyone over religion or for any other reason. Baha'u'llah forbade such behavior. He promoted love and unity and taught that Baha'is should see all religions as part of their own religion and all mankind as their own family. Not bad ideas if you ask me. And principles the world could really use these days.

  • yes now they don't but if their religion survives and the oppression ends its only a matter of time before they start the persecution.

Every religion that survives and eventually thrives will inevitably start persecuting others.

The only way to abolish oppression is to eliminate the god fantasy

  • I know it seems that way, but contrary to popular opinion human beings are not compelled to repeat the past. We can decide to do things differently especially if we believe it's God's will. Bahá'u'lláh says: "O ye lovers of God! In this, the cycle of Almighty God, violence and force, constraint and oppression, are one and all condemned." This message is so pervasive throughout His writings it is impossible to imagine our persecuting people. We show love for God by our being kind to each other.

  • I'm sorry for anyone that has to suffer because someone's idea of God is different than theirs.. those that want to control frequently use god as their reason and its been that way for all human history..guess we can thank whoever came up with the idea of a supreme being in the first place.

  • One more thing, being an atheist does not make someone a good person. How could you think so? Some of the worst acts of genocide have been done by atheistic totalitarian regimes: the Soviet Union under Stalin, Pol Pot in Cambodia, Mau in China, the list goes on. Millions have been murdered, more than in all the religious wars in history. For most people, God inspires good behavior. I don't really understand the evil that is sometimes done in God's name, but it certainly is NOT universal.

  • I'm an atheist, but I have a buddy that's a Baha'i. Of all the religions, I think Baha'i is one of the most loving and open religions. It's a crock of shit that people from other religions (especially the big 3, Christianity, Muslim and Jews) can point fingers and name call at them, after all the shit that's been carried out by extremists in your religion's names.

  • Erm, you cant blame Jews as the Bahai have a nice place there in Israel.

  • I wasn't "blaming" the Jews for anything specific, and especially not against the Baha'i. He's actually in Israel now working at their church thinggy.

I was blaming religion (and like I said, esp the big 3) for all the shit that's done in their name. Be it wars or murders or terrorism. I truly think that religion is a 'cancer' of sorts that, the sooner we shed it, the better.

  • I disagree, but respect your opinion. :)

  • Well that's at least a start. Now if only we can get everyone ELSE to do so. :(

  • why the hell did they translate it ?? :(

    it's not the same :(

  • I liked Persepolis but felt the voice overs were flat, stiff-sounding, miscast and emotionless. Subtitles were run in some countries, and it's a pity the makers behind the film didn't insist upon it being distributed in all cinemas in Persian.

  • All my comments were in response to various posts of Hajibflower. I thought they'd end up under those posts. Sorry about that.

  • What? I watched this movie and I don't remember one moment where it mentioned the word Bahai. I watched the French version with subtitles.

  • This uses the animation to tell a different story, hence the associated commentary, post, conclusion and link.

  • I preferred watching the film in french, it sounded much better. :3 Great film.

  • Excellent!!! One God, One People, One Planet, One Religion too!

  • Dear hijabiflower,

Nothing is better than reading for yourself and learning and understanding. Others interpretation of all written words are worthless. If you have a mind and brain, use them to learn and understand. Open your mind to the future and the message of hope. Open your mind to the message of peace.

  • Baha means Light.

    Baha'i means follower of light.

There is only one God and if people would realize that a lot of the misunderstandings would be gone forever. There is no God this religion and god of that religion. Only one. and we are all his creation. One world, one people.

  • God is Most Great, All Praise Be to Him.

Muslim means, literally, "one who submits [to God]"

The Prophet is known to have stated that Jesus is in the end, and the Mehdi in the middle. One of the Prophet Muhammad's first instructions was belief in Jesus. It is the spirit of Jesus that is to return in the end of days. How then, if Muhammad is the Last?

Muhammad says: I am the First and the Last

Jesus says: I am the First and the Last

  • Even if you don't believe in the Mahdi, it does not discount the Prophet's insistent mention of Jesus and His importance in the Qur'an. As Muhammad has instructed us to believe in Jesus, this would also mean to be mindful of the prophesies in the Bible. It's important to remember that the Gospels prophesy the coming of Muhammad, so we should bear in mind their prophesy for the return of Christ at the end of days.

  • It is very simple as to why God called Muhammed the last prophet. When Jesus makes his second return he wont be bringing any new teachings to the table. He has already completed that part of his legacy. When Jesus (pbuh) makes his second return he will enphesize the teachings of this quran and the sunnah. He will actually not be a prophet but a Messiah and like his first coming he will practice Islam as it practiced 600 years before Muhamed (pbuh) was born. True religion replicates itself!!

  • Actually, Bahá is the Greatest Name of God. So the Bahá'í Faith is named after and is the Religion of God, as it is referred to in its own Scriptures many times. In order to have true peace, we need a fair and just decentralized government worldwide where the people have a voice and a vote. Bahá'ís use such a system as their administration everywhere. Check it out. Separation is may have worked in the past, but we need to come together as one now.

  • It's nice that you have peace as a Muslim. Too bad so many Muslims refuse to grant peace to others just over their religion. If you choose to believe a certain way, that's fine. No one is saying you shouldn't, but why should so many Muslims and especially those in power persecute others who believe differently? Isn't what a person believes about their relationship with God their business? "To you be your religion, to me my religion." It's in the Qur'an. Why don't Muslim governments observe it?

  • I researched and found out that Bahai's worship the same God as the Muslims, Jews and Christians. The Bahai faith was created by an old muslim irani man.

  • It's the truth

  • Thats cool

  • bravo sad how my bahai brothers and sisters are dying in iran.

  • bahai whats that?

  • It is a world religion whose purpose is to unite all the races and peoples in one universal Cause and one common Faith.

  • wo wo wo calm down champion hahaha jks :) why would Bahai's insult the Prophet Muhammed? maybe it is you that is quick to judge ones religion without proper research and an open mind yes? i dunno maybe :) see ya

  • ...Why should Muhammad, that immortal Beauty, Who hath said: "I am the first Adam" be incapable of saying also: "I am the last Adam"? For even as He regarded Himself to be the "First of the Prophets" - that is Adam - in like manner, the "Seal of the Prophets" is also applicable unto that Divine Beauty. It is admittedly obvious that being the "First of the Prophets," He likewise is their "Seal." .. ' - Book of Certitude *

  • Comment removed

  • but think for second brother Muhammed is the seal of the prophets for that era. His message was for that era. This is a new era Today is a new day and a new messenger is required every so often to refresh and renew God's message. Hahaha "created to split Iran" lol its funny how people blame things on religion. Brother it is PEOPLE who do these things ;D

  • The quran specifically explains WHY Muhammed (pbuh) is the last messanger. All "prophets" who come after him are JUST leaders, God only speaks to prophets NOT to leaders. Prophet Muhamed is the last prophet BECAUSE we are living in the end times. Allah says, Jesus will return very soon after Muhammed (pbuh) but he will not bring a new message, he will be a conquering king, carrying the sword and according to Islam that sword is the final holy word of God (the quran)

  • The Qur'an actually refers in two places to Messengers (Rasul) to come in the future. Ignore it if you like, most do. But many have seen how the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh Are Messengers who fulfill the promises of Islam and all the other religions. Please remember, the Qur'an criticizes the Jews for saying there will be no more Messengers after Moses. Now Muslims say the same thing thus risking having their own "hands tied up" as the Qur'an warns, and for good reasons. God's hands are never tied!

  • I would like to see this referance in the Quran. Because according to my quran Muhammed is God's last messanger because we are living in the last days and Jesus is returning very soon. Plus the hour of judgement for all nations is near. The quran doesnt conflict itself. No where does it say that another prophet will come after Muhamed. Bab and Baha'ullah are great men and are teachers and leaders but they must not be confused with prophets. They themselves were muslims true or not true?

  • 39:68-9 -- two trumpet blasts signify the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh plus "the earth will shine with the Glory of its Lord" (Bahá'u'lláh). 30:55-6 -- the promised Religion (ad-Dín) must come. 7:35 -- "Messengers from among yourselves" will come. 57:28 -- Kiflayn (Messengers) will be bestowed by God. 30:55-6 -- people won't be aware of the Day of Resurrection, they'll cling to their own interpretations instead the new Messenger. Moojan Momen's book, Islam and the Bahá'í Faith, is excellent, btw.

  • The Báb and Bahá'u'lláh cannot be simply "great men," "teachers" or "leaders." They did not claim to be any such thing. They claimed to be Rasul, Messengers of God. So either they were complete and utter liars or they were actually Messengers of God. There is no way for a liar to be a great man, especially telling a whopper like that. As for the Quran not conflicting with itself, true but people don't really understand it. If they did there wouldn't be so many sects split up over doctrine.

  • And one more thing. The Qur'an NEVER says Muhammad is the LAST prophet. That is pure human interpretation. The word Seal does not mean last, it means approved. Jesus was also said to be the Seal in the Bible. Seal was also said of the Hebrew Bible prophets. Muhammad was the last one to prophesy the coming Day of Judgment, which we are now in since the Messengers came already. We are judged by how we respond to their Call. (33:45-6, 54:6-8) Jesus' return is fulfilled spiritually in this new Dín.

  • seal does not mean approved! A seal is something you use for a CLOSING, an Ending, when your finished with something you close it with a seal. And Muhamed is that seal! If you believe Muhamed is a true prophet of God then you will not say that he was a liar when he said, The Prophet said, "The Israelis used to be ruled and guided by prophets: Whenever a prophet died, another would take over his place. There will be no prophet after me, but there will be Caliphs who will increase in number."

  • Who is your Caliph?

  • We are awaiting the 12th one: Al Mahdi. He hasnt been recognized yet. You really dont get it do you? We are living very very very close to the return of Jesus (Isa) Its not a joke to the muslims, I give this world another 400 years and every eye shall see him.

  • My dear, it is you who don't get it. The Mahdi already came in the Person of the Báb exactly 1000 years after the disappearance of the 12th Imam, as prophesied in the Qur'an: 34:25-29 & 32:4 tell us that Islam is to last 1,000 years (a Day or Yom = 1,000 in Arabic gemmatria). Just because you don't recognize Him doesn't mean He hasn't come. Jews & Christians still don't recognize Muhammad! Jesus also returned spiritually when the Holy Spirit was manifested in the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh!

  • You're interpretation of who the Mahdi is contradicts your earlier statements. The Mahdi will be a muslim leader, who leads the entire world at the same time as Jesus Christ second return. He will never claim to be a prophet but a Caliph and will fight in world war 3 or Armagheddon in Israel. He will be of mixed decsent: half Jewish, half Arab and will be known only as Al Mahdi. Bab fufills none of these requirements. He has nothing to do with Al Mahdi or Jesus Christ

  • None of these ideas are in the Qur'an. I wonder where you get them. Misunderstanding prophecies is nothing new, however. The Báb was a Siyyid, descended from Prophet Muhammad on both sides of His family. His life and teachings have more parallels with Jesus' life and teachings (over 80 similarities between them) than even Moses' does. The return is about Jesus' spiritual attributes, found in both the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh, who are not just prophets but Manifestations (Messengers) of God.

  • Muslims dont only follow the Quran. We have the Quran in our right hand the the authentic and varified hadith in the other. Those are the two books of Islam. Bab claimed to be a prophet which puts him in disbelief because the prophet said himself that he is the last prophet and Messanger of God and only Caliphs will come after him. Bab cannot be a Caliph because Caliphs dont claim prophethood, they claim leadership. I respect your religion but we do not recognize Bab under any islamic requirment

  • Why do you put more store in reported sayings that sometimes conflict with themselves or with the Book than what was actually in the Qur'án? The Báb did NOT claim to be a minor prophet under Islam. He claimed to be the Manifestation of God come to prepare the way for the next Manifestation of God. He is both the Mahdi and the Qá'im. This age is so blessed, we have TWO, as promised. You will wait forever for your idle fancies and vain imaginations. God does whatever HE wants not what WE want.

  • whatever I tell you comes from Allah and not myself. And Allah says in the Quran very clearly that no human can be a manifestation of God. Infact this is the key characteristic to a false prophet is that sometime down the line they claim some type of God-hood and Im not saying that to be disrespectful of anyone's beliefs but this is what Prophet Muhammed taught us to be careful of. We as muslims will never be tricked by any anti-christs claiming prophets bc we believeMuhammed is the last prophet

  • LOL! What you say comes from God Himself??? That would make YOU a Manifestation of God. I don't think so! The term "manifest" means to show. Bahá'ulláh shows us the attributes of God: His love, His knowledge, His wisdom. It's not that God has become a man or any other such idea. You are allowing semantics to keep you from the truth. Yet 20,000 devout Muslims were willing to die for this new Faith rather than recant. Why? They saw something you do not. They LOOKED at this Revelation. Will you?

  • So it is allowed to eradicate any ideology and its people, if their prophet came after muhammed. You call this freedom? Your system of belief is what makes Islam so dangerous and evil.

  • We are Muslims who created this video, not Baha'is.

Give me one example of when a Baha'i has ever said hateful things against our Prophet (PBUH) or against Islam. Insulting Islam is against their religion. Baha'is have great respect for us. This is why we chose to campaign for their rights.

  • No, they never called our Prophet or our Holy Book liars. They simply have different beliefs. So because we have different beliefs, despite their respect for ours, and despite it being a part of their religion to defend Islam as much as possible especially in the West where our religion is often insulted, we should oppress and kill them? They are harmless and innocent, they want nothing more than to coexist with us. Why would you deny them their religious freedom and human rights?

  • You're right, Except you're missing 1 thing. I've read the Quran, Bible, Etc. Let it first be noted, Arabic is the most perfect language, Muhammad the most perfect prophet. He states that he is the LAST NABI (prophet), not Nabi & Rasul. Muhammad completed the prophetic cycle. Most Importantly Bahai's, when asked what is the greatest thing they could do, the son of their messenger said, "Teach Islam to the Western World." They not only accept Muhammad but consider him the most perfect prophet.

  • With all these protests flaring up around Iran. If Iranians want freedom and prosperity and to live in a fair & just society. They don't get that by fighting and resisting the government, they do that by treating ALL their fellow men & women with love & respect. Then will they transform that country. MEYmedia your work is powerful, its compassionate, and it shows love - unbelievable - I'd love to create a video where we demonstrate the interconnectedness of all religions. one love, one family.

  • The two posts(below) were in reply to hijabiflower's posts.

Hijabiflower - Out of only curiosity, where have you received this information in regards to what you claim? Iranian Media? Clerics?

In ways its like Americans, specially in the south, who think Islam is "evil" cuz they believe in Allah. This nonsense is preached by pastors, and media propaganda. TRUTH is, which they dont share with people... Allah is the Arabic word for God, Like Dios is Spanish, and that Islam does accept Christ.

  • I want to salute you for your efforts on behalf of the Bahai community in Iran. I am neither Muslim nor Bahai.

Even the prophet Muhmammad said that if you encounter non-muslims who simply want to live in peace and worship their own way they should be left alone.

  • Hijabi, I wanted to reply to you ,but then i thought if you are this ignorent ! I should let you be and die in it; maybe God has a reason for your ignorence ." May God help your soul", this is all I can tell you.

  • Hijabflower, The Bab is the return of the Al Mahdi, the qaim, and he came to prepare the people for the return of Christ, which you yourself also said. Baha'u'llah in 1863 declared to be the promised one of the ages, the return of christ. and you could think that this is all false but the Bab and Baha'u'llah never met, so how could they have planned such things? The Bible also states that the promised one wil travel from the east to the west and will be from Elam (Iran). this also is true.

  • continuing: The prophecy that the promised one will go from east to west was fulfilled by Baha'u'llah, he was from iran (Elam) and and travelled to the west but not under his own will, but under exile, so once again he did not plan to do such things but was of Gods doing for this prophecy to also be fulfilled. The bible also states that Mt Carmel will see the promised one, and this was also fulfilled. if you want i can continue with many many more prophecies that were also fulfilled.

  • Your interpretation of the word "seal" doesn't work for me. A seal is made to be broken. It does not signify that there will be nothing worthy of being sealed forever after. Christians use the same arguments you do saying that the Bible says Jesus was the seal, and therefore God is finished. Yet God is never finished, He has always sent His Messengers and God never changes, so God will never stop sending them. Take it or leave it, it's your Book (48:23).

  • Baha'is receive persecution throughout the Arabian peninsula. So, incidentally, do Druze, Yezidi and various gnostic populations. Does anybody care? I have yet to see a campaign seeking equal treatment for these lesser, non-Book oriented religions.

  • Dear Friend,

I understand that by "non-Book oriented religions" you are referring to the muslim concept of "Ahl-ul-Kitaab", because I don't know about Druze and Yezidi, but Baha'is do have books.

Maybe if we don't hear much about them it is because they haven't suffered from systematic persecutions in a recent time, like Baha'is did, and didn't get hanged, am I wrong?

But definitely we also have to fight against thess persecutions. Fight for freedom is a whole.

  • I apologize for not being clearer on the phrase 'Non-Book'. That meant 'not part of the big 3'.

And your premise is wrong. Druze and Yezidi populations suffer 'systematic' persecution even today. In northern Iraq, Yezidis, who are mostly kurds, often face murder on the charge of devil worship. Islam has the tendency to suppress all things non-Islamic; 'All new things are innovations, and innovation is a mistake'. Maybe that explains their attitude towards Baha'i...

  • lets us all remember the misery for all the Baha'i in Iran and hope that one day the world would be in peace

  • It's very well edited, but it is also misleading. I am Baha'i and I liked this video, it's very enlightening and a good message to be spreading, but shouldn't you specify that it's an independent project? Why do you call it a trailer for the sequel to Persepolis? You're misleading people.

  • We (and several other people) have already explained this in great detail to others who had similar concerns. We also never claimed that it's NOT an independent project. Within the description field itself we specifically mentioned this. As for the need for this particular title, if you scroll below you will find your answers.

  • Then I apologize for making you repeat yourself, I simply meant that some people might find the title confusing but if it is necessary then so be it. I don't want to seem ungrateful for it either, it is beautifully edited and very much a gift to the Baha'i community at large so thank you for that.

  • what is bahai?

  • There is nothing at all wrong with this video in any manner--this is to brother Indrani, and especially to the rude ingrates, Fctchk & Yanerocksobebo. For one, we do not discriminate against homosexuals--we just acknowledge certain social acts to be deleterious to true progression & harmony like many people consider many actions to be as such. And, there is nothing AT ALL misleading about this video--I encourage people to EDUCATE themselves on what is going on!

  • Hame-ye ahaali-e Iran, az hag-e baraabar dar pishgaah-e gaanun bar khordaar hastand (baayad bashand)

    Dorud bar pishgaman-e Mashruteh

  • Well done :) But this is pretty misleading. But still cool anyways :)

  • Only Iranian and Egyptian propoaganda would lead to the inaccurate assumption that the Baha'i Faith has anything to do with the notion of Zionism. Having the Baha'i Temple in Israel (even before the creation of this state!) doesn't mean it is related to either the State nor the Zionist ideology in any conceivable way. Please stop following sheer propaganda and try to find out what the Baha'i Faith is actually about, and how respectful Baha'is are to us as Muslims.

  • I am a Baha'i. And I agree with indraini987. This message is a great one. I've seen this movie and I loved it but, isn't it considered plagiarism using this movie for another reason than which it was produced? Although you did a great job editing it, it is not truthful portraying the Baha'i struggle by using someone else's creation without permission.

  • Hi, we addressed this issue previously to commenters with similar concerns. Transformative media is NOT a form of plagiarism, and in many cases it falls under the fair use of copyright. There are many studies and research made on this kind of media so I would suggest looking it up before accusing others of something as serious as plagiarism when it is, in fact, not.

  • BRAVO!

  • I think this is very well edited, and the plight of the Baha'is needs to be told to everyone. BUT....I think it is wrong to use a different movie meant to tell a different story, someone else's story, even if it was similar to the persecution of Baha'is. Even if the characters are animated, they represent real people. You shouldn't put words into their mouths. It would be super cool if Baha'is made their own animated story though.

  • You may be interested to know that a major production in underway -- it's not animated, but will be the first time the Baha'i persecutions in Iran are told to the masses through film. Google "Mona's Dream"

  • Thank you very much!!!!

Send love from Argentina to MEYmedia.... thanks for shearing!!!!..ALLA 'U'ABHA!!!

  • Bravo, this is very well done.

I am a Baha'i and at first I thought this was a real trailer, so I was very excited haha.

But even so, this was edited very smoothly and is a very innovative and eye-catching way to inform people of this horrendous holocaust against the Baha'is of Iran.

  • Chers compatriotes, S.V.P. démolissez le mur du silence contre l'injustice qu'elle domine notre pays. Ne soyez pas indifférent vis-à-vis de la vie des autres. Ayez le courage pour défendre et dire la vérité.

  • they can destroy our house, not our spirit..... i just loved it.

  • wow

  • Bravo! Well-done.

Thanks to all involved for telling the truth about the persecution of the Bahais!

  • i saw the movie, it was awesome and so true

  • thanks so much

  • Dear All At MEYmedia,

Congrats, for your great job, noble intentions, creative approach! The more of this kind of eye opener the better. I wish it will be one of the top videos in the "most viewed" and "most discussed" category!!!

  • beautiful production well done and to the personn wondering about copyright issues, haven't u ever watched a movie edited and reused before??? look around in youtube u will see some

one more time well done and i have to say great editing

  • Thank you for this potent reflection on a crime against humanity. Well done. Stand strong and constantly remind the world of this atrocity.

  • Keslami,

Before the production of the video, we went through a rigourous planning process, and consulted with our legal advisor to ensure we were acting within th elimits of the law.

And we are. Our usage of footage from the film was strictly non-profit in nature, and fair use applies.

  • Dear, I hope before you accuse someone of plagiarism you would do some research about what it means. This process is called being transformative, editing an existing work by turning it into something entirely different by recreating the voices, sound effects, and movement, giving due credit to the original work, which we did. In most occassions this falls under the fair use of a copyright, for more information, Google "Recut, Reframe, Recycle."

  • Hi,

I think there has been a misunderstanding. I'm sorry if I offended you guys. Like I said, I am a Baha'i and definitely I would appreciate the work of whoever has made this great collage. However, as a Baha'i, we learn the first thing we have to follow is the laws of the community that we live in. I was only worried if your work fall into plagiarism category and waste all the time and talent for nothing. Again, I apologize and wish you guys success in your great path.

    Cheers,

  • but what if when the laws of the community does not follow those of the Divine's?

  • Which Divine? Whose laws?

Freedom of belief is universal; it isn't confined by the laws of this religion or that. So long as the practitioners of a certain faith do not infringe on the rights of others, what right do we have to prevent them?

  • I am deeply sorry to click, by mistake, on the thunb down instead of up. I did not know how to reverse it

  • Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. Matthew 22:21

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Ephesians 6:5

The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. Luke 12:47-48

  • Wow...very moving and inspirational to say the least. Your service to humanity is appreciated by many including myself. :)

  • Iran must CEASE and DESIST all persecution of all non-Muslims

If Iran fails to protect the lives of the Innocent then it's fate will be no different than that of NAZI-Germany during WWII Iran will be ripped apart by a war that will make WW II look like a picnic in the park...

  • You mean Iran and India's fate will be same as of Nazi-Germany? In Iran the minorities are just jailed, but, in India the Genocide and Gujrat is the leading example. In Iran the pregnant women are not raped and killed, But, in Modi's Gujarat is the order of the day.

  • When does the whole movie come out???? and will it be out of dvd in stores???

  • Thank you for illuminating the truth. We are all children of one GOD.

  • May God bless your noble intentions. Hopefully, people will be able to look upon this and see the meaning behind it, and not get hung up on the usage of clips from Persepolis.

  • Lets hope the persecutions stop. The Baha'is only want world unity and peace for all.

  • Great video!

Probably one of the best initiatives I ever saw in defense of the Baha'is in Iran.

  • Thank you for making this video! It touches every sincere heart.

  • Why can't this just end, it's awful what they're doing to the bahai's !, the bahai community is great here in Iceland !

  • it's simple my friend. those Islamic pricks in charge of our beloved country want nothing but power and money and they are willing to do anything to get and hold on to this. The lives of bahais or non-bahais don't matter to them.

I also hope our people can wake up and put their hands up for the freedom of Bahai's and finally OUR COUNTRY!

  • yes I know, This is awful !, and the president there can I say hates ? .. bahai's

  • Thank you so much for posting this!

The more calls we raise, the further our voices will reach.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Although I think the intention of the video is good and it raises awareness about a very important topic, the fact that it's passed off as the Persepolis 2 trailer is deceitful and misleading, and in the end serves to belittle the noble purpose the video.

  • We admittedly did choose the current title knowing that it will bring more attention to the video. At a time when there's increasing awareness on the treatment of homosexuals in Iran, the status of women and so on, the world has yet to mobilize in response to the treatment of Iran's largest religious minority.

  • The makers of this video are the heroes and heroins of our today, and our tomorrow. At some point during our history someone had to put a foot down and tell the world about the madness that is happening towards the Baha'is in Iran. Without action, the massacre that would happen to the Baha'is would be equivelent to that of the Hitler Regime.

Thanks very much to the makers of this video, you guys will greatly impact our society and our perspectives.

  • Firstly, we are Muslims, not Baha'is (did you even watch the clip?)

Secondly, instead of expressing your thoughts on Baha'is in iran, which thanks to this video, lots of people are currently talking about, you are attacking it under the premise of "copyright" (even though it gives credit where due and is a not-for-profit creation, falling under "fair use" of most copyright licenses.)

Unless you are the copyright owner and have a problem with this video, try to stick to the actual topic!

  • I stand corrected. I did indeed miss the last slide and my judgement was rash. I appreciate that more thought must have gone into deciding upon and making this video and indeed YOUR good will than into my comments. I was happy to see how promptly, vigilantly and militantly (ouch!) you defended your work. Congratulations.
