i feel like there is a bit of a window right after the apex where you could release. because there is no force pushing you down anymore and it would just be like jumping from a couple feet, right?

Just do it faggot! joking, don't think, no pause, jump & enjoy the rush, freefall is better, but this is a quicker way to get a rush without having to stab a vein. First one I did was in Germany in Krefeld near the Barracks in 80's, the bet was a ten pack of Herforder Pils off all non believers! Get a few down ya & have a currywurst, then empty it on someone when u get down lol
