  • this is ULTIMATE

  • Miss the 80s

  • you picked care bears over silver hawks? it was still good though

  • Hey! It's that song from the credits of "The Racoons" Good mix man.

  • Not bad list!

  • Love this

  • Excellent stuff. Now, all we get is remakes.

  • @capesandcloaks - the song is Run With Us sung by Lisa Lougheed

  • What is this song and who sings it?

  • they just don't make them like this no more im very glad to have grown up with this era :)

  • @SuperMattyb79 I hear ya I feel bad for the kids of today theres just nothing unless you go with anime and most of the good anime is not translated

  • @SuperMattyb79 Me too man, me too ;)

  • The second the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon hit the screen I was impressed. I love that toon!!

  • por favor si alguien sabe quien lo canta diganmelo

  • Восьмидесятые рулят!

  • Please re-edit, including Mysterious Cities of Gold, Ulysses, Bravestarr, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends AND Pole Position. Otherwise great vid.

  • They don't make songs OR animation like this anymore!

  • i have tears in my eyes, very well done!

  • I think I might cry, this nostalgia is overwhelming.

  • all of these cartoons were shit, the cartoons nowadays are much better

  • @hjenkinz lol what are u smoking?

  • @balser77 lol, trolling doesn't work if people are placid. Get angry or I've failed.

  • Great job dude.

  • thanks for the trip down memory lane

  • I actually shead a tear over this, this was the best decade to be a kid in miss the 80's so much...

  • @Joker16707 Your not the only one.

  • very odd, you use the full song from the raccoons yet show no pictures from it???

  • ahhhh back int he days when cartoons were cartoons, instead of this over sexualised shite we get now. Plus, they had kick ass fucking music!!!

  • We had the best cartoons in the 80's and 90's. I miss them.

  • 80s for ever and ever and ever and ever...

  • @HatterMadigan

Not that bad. It's mysterious from "Les mystérieuses cités d'Or" in french made by french and japanese like Odysseus 31.

No traces of Saint seiya, Cobra space adventure, Dragon ball, Askadis, Harlock, Even Grendizer...????????????

How could you miss at least 3 of them? :)

  • The Scooby Doo shown here was actually from the 70's

  • 17 people that are children of the 90's

  • @Lifendz Hey I was born in the 90's and I love 80's cartoons and 90's and some early 2000's just because I wasn't there to see it first dos't mean I cant enjoy it.

  • @fightingdreamers77: It was a joke. Sheesh.

  • The Mysterious Cities of Gold? anyone?

  • @HatterMadigan I thought it was the Lost Cities of Gold?

  • @HatterMadigan My bad!

  • I'm 19 and to this day I STILL remember watching Scooby Doo as a Child

  • There were so many 80s cartoons? I bet some or most of these were unable to finish their stories. Sad thing though.

  • Love this song. I still remember the raccoons fondly.

  • Thundercats <3333333

  • im lovin' this song

  • NO voltron?

  • hey wheres captain planet?

  • i <3ed muppet babies!!!

  • wicked Montage. in one word AWESOME

  • Why did harlod ramis`s Character in ghostbuster`s turn blonde,When he was dark in the film?????

  • Great montage

Though I dont now half of this shows its still a very good video

  • Love how they used to put effort into the music for cartoons!

  • @lishakara That's because most of the American cartoons form the 80's and 90's were outsourced to asian animation studios like Toei Animation. From this video alone Toei worked on: Gi Joe, Muppet Babies, Dungeons & Dragons, Transformers, Defenders of the Earth, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Real Ghostbusters.

  • @beato123 Plus it was before the government imposed the law that all shows aimed at children must have an educational element to them. No more toons just for fun.

  • Got here from TV Tropes, where someone pointed out that quite a few of these openings are anime-esque.

I can definitely see where the resemblance lies! There's a similar compilation of anime intros on youtube, and I see quite a few suspiciously similar animation elements

  • AAAAAhhhhhh! mate what a Montage!!! 10 out 10 for the choice of tune, please make an HD version. It just shows the 80's were ahead by miles when it came to the toons. just hope they pull off Thundercats the movie..

  • Awesome.

  • where the music from?

  • @007jbond007no1fan the music was originally done by lisa lougheed and used as the theme tune for the 80's cartoon 'the racoons'

  • @007jbond007no1fan

    The Racoons

  • last time I checked Scooby doo where are are you came was a late siixties-early seventies cartooon. close enough i guess

  • What is the 5th one in the montage????

The one AFTER the ducks and before Inspector Gadget. Where the kids are on the rollercoaster and then go into a magical world where they each have magic weapons?? I've been trying to find that one for years.

  • @moosemoose77 Dungeons & Dragons

  • i love he mash up you did here, the song compliments the videos on most cases.

    EXCELLENT WORK.

  • ugly drawing

  • Finally...somebody remembered GI Joe!!

  • what a great song what brill cartoons i miss those days why cant they make cartoons like this now they are rubbish ones now days please digital make a channel for 80s cartoons

  • Just to let you know "Scooby Doo: Where are You?" was a show from the 1960s.

  • good choice of song, possibly one of the best cartoon intros ever

  • Awesome video; definitely needs an HD version. The music was used in the 'Heroes Unite' trailer but it's still perfect to match the mood of the 80s - there's something absolutely inspiring and heart-warming about the attitude of just living and enjoying life. It's hopelessly naive, but it's so pure and lovely. :')

  • I subscribe to both Netflix and Blockbuster online. So this is not a random NF bashing post. But Blockbuster Online has real customer service you can email. Only reason I'm saying this is to encourage fans, even if you don't do BB online, to write into them and express how much you miss Retro toons like this and that it would be cool if they would get more in their inventory. Don't worry about telling them if you're a subscriber, just write in. Then one place will notice the other and follow.

  • 80's cartoons were the best

  • thunder cats for ever

  • very cool!!!

  • 14 viewers have no soul. How can you not love this song and all of the great cartoons of the 80's. Awesome montage here!

  • In fact, so much so that I have to comment again. I hope you realise how happy your video is making people. Bravo sir!

  • Stunning. Great editing by the way. Love how some of the shots fit perfectly with whatever lyric is playing at the time. And what an immense choon. Had completely forgotten that this was part of the Racoons. Well done. It's brought a lump to my throat.

  • The 80s <3

Is it weird that I feel nostagic about the eighties when I was born in '93? :'D

  • @Alexstroheim you're thinking of sky commanders I believe. Good video btw, I hope you do this in HD

  • Exellent ..

  • Cartoons were great, before they lost all sense of needing plot.

  • Man TMNT was the shit back then.

  • jayce on the wheeled warriors fuck yea

  • The 80's... when hand drawn cartoons were dominating, where are the days :'|

  • I'm pretty sure all 1980's action cartoons were made by two furries who sat around getting high while watching too much mtv in their basement after reading every single issue of superman.

  • forgot about Brave Star

  • Where is JEM AND THE HOLLOGRAMS!!!???? used to dream I was her when I was a little girl... :(

  • anybody know this cartoon back in the 80's where they ride in cables that shoot out of their back packs? if you know please reply

  • Now i know why michael jackson never wanted to grow up, it all makes sense.

  • The Best There Ever Was... <3

  • i miss those days

  • they dont cartoons like they used 2 thats 4 sure, feel quite lucky to have seen these.

  • Can't forget heathcliff and the Riff Raffs, Gobots, Voltron, Robotech, etc.

  • @808jspekeg6 Yes! Poor Robotech never makes it into a montage except an anime one :(

  • 80's cartoons ruled! Next one should add Silverhawks, Mighty Orbots and COPS.

  • 90s was here, 80s is a loser

  • I wish someone would make a live action film of Visionaries or Thundercats. Great vid btw, brings back so many awesome memories.

  • I love the 80s stuff i remember sitting there watching some of these shows sadly i was born in 87 so i only got a few years of the 80s but still best cartoons

    Ty for the upload!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow definitely awesome nice work

  • "Thundercats HooooOOOOOOO!!!!!"

  • G.I. Joe and Thundercats <3

  • the memories!! don't make cartoons like these anymore. i loved the 80's

  • ROBOTECH...missed that one.

  • @Gpromel Does Robotech count? It's reboxed and butchered anime.

  • This is so awesome. If you could find a way to remaster it, it would be even awesome'er!...lol. I just put up an 80's tribute photo album on FB. Everyone Loves it!! Such a great era..How I miss it so.

  • After All Pain That Old Days Caused to me I Strongly Wish That News About 2012 Is True fuk 2000 - 2010 wut a wrost years

  • Cartoons in the 80's were so much cooler!

    Thundercats

    Voltron

    Masters of the Universe

    Silver Hawks

    My favorites!

  • should have left the theme tunes in

  • cool idea you could do a thousand things with this, good job.

  • you stand alone in this (saturday morning cartoon tribute) thing...brilliant.

  • We're living in the worst time, I just wish I can go to the 70s or 80s back with Arnold and Stallone, first rocky came out. Mullets and Rock, those were the times... It's a shame how boring things are today.

  • Loved it, what is the song from though?( the racoons I think)

  • Loved it it brought memories of what Saturday should be like.

  • Это просто суперское видио)))))))))))))SUPER

  • Amazing, great effort, can't believe the feeling you get when you watch those again, great music choice and thanks for telling us what it was from, I was racking my brain all the way through the clip!

  • my favorites ...transformers, thundercats and teenage mutant ninja turtles

  • simply awesome!! I love the 80s....I will never forget this era......

  • Instant love to Dogtanian - My cartoon hero. Why I took up sword fencing after him!

Great video. Though being born in 89' I don't remember much of them.

  • I had forgotten how much i liked that song.

  • This brought back a lot of memories. Do you remember Tranzor Z?

  • Thanks for all the comments! I feel the video is really showing it's age as youtube's video compression has improved vastly since i made this almost 3 years ago. So I'm thinking about remaking this in HD this year and including some more cartoons that I previously missed out. If anyone has any suggestions on where i can get some higher resolution footage feel free to send me a message.

    Cheers,

    Beato

  • @beato123 I got some suggestions- Kissyfur, The Get Along Gang, Bravestarr, Blackstar, Ewoks, Droids, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, My Little Pony, The Littles, Sectuars, Thundarr The Barbarian, Danger Mouse, Count Duckula, Maya The Bee, Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics, Adventures of Little Koala, Adventures of gummi Bears, The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, Chip N' Dale's Rescue Rangers, Silverhawks, Filmation's Ghostbusters, The Smurfs, Snorks and especailly the Raccoons.

  • @beato123

    Keep up the good Work!

I have gone down Memory lane )

  • @beato123 Would have been helluva lot better if it were just the intros without that added song.

  • @beato123 Please do create a HD version and if possible, use the original theme songs...

  • @DaMiaNNL I will do a HD version eventually. I wont be using Original theme songs as @TheBigDaddyDReviews1 has already made a fantastic job doing this with his "80's Cartoons Intro Overload!" series.

  • @beato123 Well, you probably already made the new one, but honestly i wouldnt look for higher quality intro videos to use, these are just like i remember seeing them on my TV. adds to the whole nostalgia factor i think.

  • @beato123 Absolutley brilliant, would have loved to have seen Ulysses 31 included but now I 'm just being picky!

  • @beato123 I Lion-O, lord of the Thundercats command it!

  • God, I was so nostalgic just there. Thanks for that...

  • That was fucking epic. Raccoons theme song is just like holy wow. How could you not love that song!! I saw so many of these growing up. just need some astro boy in there^^

  • Very cool. I have good memories of most of these shows, too. Perfect choice of song and great timing on some of the clips to tie in with the lyrics. Thanks for making/sharing.

  • One thing i hate about 80's cartoons is that most of the action ones don't have a final ending. A final climatic battle where the good guys defeat the bad guys & save the world(or universe). Examples: Silver Hawk, Spiral Zone, Sky Commander, etc.

  • Ulysses 31.

    The End.

  • No Ulysees 31? Easily top 3 cartoon of the 80's for theme tune, story and all round epicness =)

  • @swervbe Oh god yes. I watched it all the way thru in total only about five times, but it was just so epic!

  • Sorry, but i hated all of those cartoons, were's the anime ? Thats the best !!!!!!!!!!!1

  • My favorites cartoons is:- 1) Thundercats 2) Scooby Doo (all series) 3) Voltron (all series) 4) Transformers 5) Inspector Gadget 6) Smurfs 7) Snorks 8) He-man 9) Ninja Turtles 10) Care Bears ... and many more since I on child!
  • im a 92 baby but ive watched some of these: ghostbusters when i was about 7,mupppet babies at some point lol, and THUNDERCATS ALL DAY LOL, every day when i got home from school, inspector gadget for sure,, and i think ure missing the mask, scooby doo was 60's, otherwise, great vid,

    80-90 forever!

  • urmmm...................... that was teenage mutant hero turtles acctually

  • xD no, it's both. Hero Turtles was the name in Europe because "Ninja" portrayed violence.

    seriously XD

  • @MalWave yea ur right...sorry my mistake lol,, europe sucks XD

  • and gummi bears and captin planet

  • I didn't forget, there was just too many great shows to fit in to 4 mins. I'm planning on making a new one and all sugestions will be considered. Also Captain Planet was 90's.
